Good blackout curtains

Ordered these in charcoal for my daughter's bedroom. The color of the room is a very light purple. This was the style that appealed the most, but really none of the colors Eclipse offers really appealed. This was the closest I could come to matching her room while buying a color of curtain that would be effective as a blackout curtain. When my husband saw them his first reaction was immediately tell me they don't match the room. We both agreed that function was more important than whether they match. The room is probably in direct daylight for 6 or more hours a day and these work amazing! Made a huge difference in the room and now my daughter sleeps better during her nap. The color of the charcoal almost surprised me when I first saw it, they're pretty freaking dark gray. I like the material of these more than the old eclipse curtains I have. The old ones seemed to have a weird plastic-y back to them, when you try to wash and dry them according to directions it sticks to itself and tears. The material on these are slightly syntheticy feeling and looking... something gives them a faint sheen making these look like they have hint of purple in them in our purple room. I'd imagine it would slightly reflect whatever color your room is but not sure. I like the effect over all. The part that you put on the rod is kinda unimpressive. The tab hanging style looks way nicer in the picture... mine ended up puckering in certain areas showing parts of the bar, but there is also a solid slot and that's what I switched them to. Overall for the cost I am happy with both it's appearance and it's effectiveness.

VERY POOFY, THEY DONT HANG FLAT

I was hoping the curtains would hang flat against the wall like they do in the photo, but they don’t at all. They are very fluffy and take up a lot of space in the room. They are also a very shiny, reflective material I didn’t expect — once again not like how it’s pictured in the photo.

Queue the movie!

Wow!! It's like a theater in here! We bought this house with leftover horrible mini blinds across our bank of living room windows. We have 3 acres and enjoy the view out back so one fall day I ripped those hideous blinds down. All was well til the summer rolled around and the setting sun lit up our living room like a neon Vegas night with the heat of the Sahara. I knew I didn't want blinds so we settled on these curtains. They are definitely light blocking! If this door to our sunroom had a curtain too it would be like a blackout in here. I'll be able to tell later this afternoon how well they work temp wise. So far I'm quite happy.

Fantastic curtains that block out 99% of light - highly recommend for daytime sleepers.

These curtains are fantastic. We have very bright afternoon sunlight come through our living room bay window that would shine right into our eyes if we were sitting on the couch. These curtains block 99% of the blinding sunlight and make the room so dark I can easily take a nap. The material is medium to heavy weight and appears to be high quality. These curtains were a bit tall for our 8 foot ceilings, but that's on me - I should've measured my ceilings, my window, and where I planned on placing the curtain rod, so I advise anyone else to do the same.

This curtain panel really blocks light

These are true blackout curtains. I bought a single panel as I didn't need mor than that for the window I wanted it for. I got the charcoal color, and it truly deserves the name blackout as it blocks the light very efficiently. Because they are made of a thicker material, the curtains won't hang as nicely when they're opened as thinner curtains would, but I didn't get them for looks. The point is that they block the light, which they do!

Not a blackout curtain, see picture

This curtain darkens a room but is definitely not a blackout curtain. See my picture. You can see the entire window through the curtain during the day. Otherwise they look nice enough. I would not purchase these if you really need a blackout curtain, though.

Not as nice as the Eclipse Faux Linen fabric

Okay, but not what I expected. Pros- Blocks out light very well. Cons- Fabric feels very cheap.Not as nice as the Eclipse Faux Linen fabric. I accidentally ordered this thinking it had grommets, but it does not. It has short, separated fabric "sleeves" along the length of curtain panel for the rod to go through. It does its job though and fortunately the rod I bought went through the sleeves (1" in diameter). I just hate the feeling of the polyester fabric. I haven't noticed that it reduces noise significantly, but I was mainly concerned about the light.

Blocks out light well, came in different lengths

Loved these curtains. Blocks out the light well and seems to be good quality. The only thing is I bought two and one was two inches shorter than the other. It was fine because I just took out the hem and made it longer so they could be equal lengths but kind of frustrating that there was such a big difference in length. Hopefully this was just a fluke. Otherwise, very happy with the purchase

Muy buena calidad, oscurecen increíble una habitación.

Me gustó mucho la calidad de la tela, y me sorprendió lo bien que oscurecen una habitación, permiten casi una oscuridad total, la tela no deja pasar nada, si entra luz es por los bordes de la ventana pero no por la tela, no le doy 5 estrellas por que es el segundo par que compro y por alguna razón por segunda vez una cortina es mas larga que la otra, no es demasiado pero si es molesto si eres muy atento al detalle.

Cubre el sol muy bien

Es importante recalcar que es UNA sola pieza, ya que no lo dejan muy claro por la imagen y la descripción, yo supe antes de comprarla por leer las reseñas y estaba preparado. Hablando de su funcionalidad sí cubre bastante bien el sol, desafortunadamente solo he probado con una pieza que no alcanza a cubrir toda la ventana pero se nota gran diferencia.

Excelentes cortinas

Estoy muy satisfecho con las cortinas, en este momento son las 3:20 y el sol entra con todo a la recámara donde la puse. Bloquea el sol de manera excelente, le puse una cinta de velcro a los costados para que no entre absolutamente nada de luz. Las recomiendo al 100%
