Absolutely beautiful!
We chose two of these faucets for our master bath remodel and we ended up buying 2 more for other baths. The price for this quality is amazingly reasonable! Our contractor was super impressed with the quality. One of our baths is a more traditional “Pottery Barn look” and Lineare looks great there as in the 2 more contemporary baths. The finish is superb and when you buy any chrome you know you’ll have some spots, so just be prepared. This faucet operates beautifully but I have to deduct a star because the linkage rod that allows you to open and close the drain is 5” too short. Our basic Kohler Caxton rectangle sinks seem pretty standard so Grohe’s specs need to adapt. We’ve ordered some cheap basic parts to DIY fix this but it is annoying. 10 stars if not for this issue. But in the end we highly recommend this great faucet!

Love the look
Look the look of the faucet. It incorporates the round with a square look which is what I wanted due to have a square sink with a round mirror. Goes perfect with the other Grohe components already in place in the shower. Picks up water spots but this to be expected.

Beautiful spout; handles, a little too thin.
The faucet is beautiful and sleek but we didn't like the handles; perhaps its a matter of taste but we prefer something more massive

Works great, and looks beautiful. Easy to install.
Works great and installed it in 3 bathrooms. Overpriced for what it is, like all Grohe products, BUT this is made in Germany and the great workmanship is obvious. Not the case with Grohe showers which are all plastic and made in communist Chyna.

Good quality, attractive, but doesn’t come with escutcheon plate and is difficult to keep spotless
This is the second faucet I’ve owned by GROHE. Their products are made in Germany and are known for being high quality, which is the reason for the cost. The other faucet I owned was for the kitchen, and it has lasted for years. The only cheap part on the kitchen faucet was the plastic bottle attachment for the soap dispenser, which broke. But I called GROHE and they replaced it under warranty (they have a limited lifetime warranty). On this bathroom faucet, I didn’t find any cheap parts like I did on the kitchen one. Even the tailpiece that goes under the sink is made of metal (rather than plastic like so many others are). That, and you don’t need Plumber's Putty for the drain flange because it comes with a rubber gasket that works amazingly well. No leaks. An issue I’ve had with other bathroom faucets is the lift rod being at an angle. They either hit the backsplash (not enough room) or rub against the installation hole, making them stiff to raise or lower. I didn’t have this problem with the GROHE because the lift rod is designed with a curve in it. This curve is toward the top, allowing the part that goes underneath to remain straight and the part up top to avoid pushing too far out. Well-designed overall. All that said, I do have a few complaints: 1) There are no written instructions on the directions. Only pictures. Since I’ve installed several faucets before, this wasn’t a huge deal for me, but I can see some people wishing for a few more details/guidance. 2) It doesn’t come with an Escutcheon Plate (aka Deck Plate). This is needed for people like me who are stuck with sinks that have 3 holes in them. Thankfully it only cost me another $13 to order the official StarLight Chrome Escutcheon Plate by GROHE. (Model no. 07 551 000). (On Amazon ASIN: B00083NB00). This plate worked great and matches the look of the faucet exactly, I just wish it came with the faucet. 3) It’s difficult to keep this faucet looking spotless. Something I didn’t think about with the spout and lever/handle being flat is that water pools on them. My other faucet spouts are rounded and thus the water rolls off, but on the flat spout/handle of this GROHE the water beads and remains on top. Because I have hard water, when it dries, it leaves ugly white marks behind. This is difficult to avoid because the faucet handle aligns directly above the spout—so that when you wash your hands and shut the handle off, water drips off your hands and fingers and lands on both. The only way around this that I see is to retrain yourself to wipe your hands on the towel first (before shutting the faucet off), or to wipe the drips off the spout and handle immediately after. If you don’t have hard water, this might not be an issue for you (since your droplets might dry clear). Just something to keep in mind if you do. In conclusion, this is a high quality, classy faucet. It brings value to your home and easily improves a bathroom’s appearance. I really like how high the faucet sits, allowing plenty of room for your hands (and other things) underneath. For the price, I wish it had come with the escutcheon plate as an option, and I wish I had thought about the hard water issue beforehand. That said, I’m happy overall and am confident that this faucet will last for many years.

High quality, but some typical plumbing installation quibbles
These are high-quality fixtures, with very smooth-turning knobs that may be a little small for adults but are great for kids. The faucet extends well into our sink, so we aren’t bumping our knuckles on the sink. It comes with a metal drain (some faucets come with plastic drains). But I have a few minor quibbles. The gaskets under the knob rings and under the faucet itself are pretty low quality; they don’t fit snugly into their channels, so they can bunch up when you’re trying to install them. The knobs are secured with plastic nuts underneath the sink, and I found them difficult to secure tightly (you need a 19mm box-end wrench or a special plumber’s tool to turn them). The water supply line into the faucet uses a compression fitting, with a plastic compression piece; most of the faucets I’ve seen use a threaded, screw-on connection, and I greatly prefer that. However, unlike the irksome quick-connect fittings that some faucets use, Grohe’s connections from the hot and cold knobs are typical screw-on ones. The sink stopper pull-up is a simple long rod with a short bend at the top—not very fancy, but it’s okay. And the instructions are all in pictograms, which, even for pictogram instructions, are just okay, too. When you are installing the hot and cold knobs, you have to align the knobs on your sink, and you must turn the rings underneath the knobs enough to secure the knob on the sink but not so tightly that the knobs won’t turn—and you must avoid turning the rings so much that the aforementioned gaskets come out of their channels and bunch up, requiring you to start over. I needed several attempts to get them right. But overall, this faucet was a good upgrade over the one we had previously. Once you get through the hassle of installation—which I find with nearly all plumbing fixtures—it’s a very nice-looking and well-functioning device.
