Exactly the quality you’d want to see at this price

Love the way it fits and feels Pros -The break in period will be minimal -GYW means it can be resoled -Removable insole means you can also change the support and fit more easily -Crazy Horse leather means it’s self-conditioning and will require minimal care. Cons -the heel block is full rubber, and I feel the comfort would be improved with a leather stack -there is also no leather in the midsole from what I can tell, which would again improve comfort -outsole could have more traction. -welt is synthetic, will crack over time.

Great boot for the price.

I bought these boots mainly for casual wear and horse riding as I had none that were suitable. I'm not used to having such a high heel, so they are a bit awkward sometimes, and the soft leather doesn't provide much ankle support either, but other than that they are really nice. These make for a good casual boot if you don't mind a lot of lacing. As for horse riding, I have only used them once, but they performed as expected. I only had one problem with them on horseback-I have a large foot, so the boot is also on the bigger side and does get stuck on the stirrups, but that is mostly caused by the tack I'm using.

Great leather, soft sole

Boots are soft and comfortable, soles are not clunky so you can pull off a “dressed up” look with them. Maybe not for heavy duty construction but they aren’t for that. Nice boots at a good price.

order up a half size..or you can get thinner insoles..these insoles are very thick

first off they look good...i wish i got a half size bigger...and somehow my left boot came with two of the insoles inside the boot...speaking of insoles the are very thick..and under the insoles is very hard so you cannot wear these without insoles in my opinion...so if the boots tight when you get it you can try thinner insoles that really helped me,,,the sole seems to be study should last..the heel im not completely sure about yet..the hook eyelets are very thin and seem like they wont last but so far so good

They are very well made just undersized. Wide is not really wide. If you remove the insole they fit. Just have to break them in to loosen the fit up

Nice boots

Wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the box, I generally don't buy footwear via catalog, online or otherwise. These were a pleasant surprise. The leather is heavy, supple & generously oiled. The soles are sewn & the heels nailed, The fit was great right from the box and they required no break-in. I don't care for 'lace kilts' so I removed them. As I write this I've had the boots over a month so any defects have had ample time to show, and they're basically fine. Pros: The leather is stout, the stitching sound, padded tongue is a perk, the last they're made on is true to size, the laces are strong and of generous length. Cons: These are water resistant, but not waterproof; in a downpour you'll get wet feet. The soles aren't holding up to rough concrete or asphalt & I'll be visiting a boot repair shop soon. The heels are wearing down quickly though that's probably me, I've always been rough on footwear; a pair of heel taps will help. Summary: Given that these cost under $100, I have to say they're well worth the money. Re-learning how to walk on Western heels was a kick. I haven't priced replacement soles & heels but at least these can be repaired, I've thrown away a lot of boots & shoes over the years because of bonded soles...

Oiled Leather

December 2016, I picked up a pair of lacer/packer boots from Durango and wore them up until March of 2018. They were the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. I wore the heel into a slant (guess I'm bow-legged) forcing myself to have to think about where and how I place one foot in front of the other. The leather had dried and cracked to which I wore dark-colored socks so that the holes on the top of the boots were less noticeable. It was really an entire thought process just to lace the boots up of a morning. And now I can't find those same boots anywhere. And then I came across these Ad-Tec packer boots. And they had all my requirements: 9-11" shaft, 2"+ heel, dark brown leather, and a thinner rubber sole (I don't like thick, clumsy soles). These boots exceeded my expectations! I remember opening the box and the smell of the oiled leather eminated from underneath the wax paper. Ahh, I wish I had had a way of bottling the smell up. They've got a cushioned tongue and inserts so they're extra comfor table and supportive when breaking them in. I walk and stand on finished concrete floors (sometimes wet) at my job and did not have to worry about slipping. I've only had these boots in my possession since Saturday and yesterday, I worked a 10 hour day and put in close to 30,000 steps (I know, thank you) and these boots were not uncomfortable at any point in the day. 10/10 would recommend.

True to size…not a fan of the padded tongue

I liked that they fit true to size (US) They were pretty comfortable, bought them for casual wear. The leather is really soft, have to snug them up good, just a tad wide. Craftsmanship is good. The brads holding the heel on should be counter sunk, we have hard wood floors, so I’m going to tap them down a little with a nail set.

Fantastic quality! However too narrow for me. If you are size Adidas 9 go for 9.5 for these boots, in my opinion.

Very good quality boots for the price

For the price, this boots are extremely good. The only thing is I wish, is they hammered the nails at the heela deeper inside. Anyhow I did it myself and everything is awesome and very please with the product. The boots are beautiful, great leather and very well made.
