Best guess, size Kid-4 is an 8/10?
Due to price, we ordered this without knowing what size it would be. From reading the other comments I knew that Kid-4 was the largest kid size and that it would not be toddler size, therefore I was confident that at least 4 did not mean 4T. There was no sizing chart in the description, which was frustrating, but in this case, it seems that the gamble paid off. The suit itself is nice, the colors are vibrant and the stitching looks strong. It is a mock turtleneck style which will avoid the need for sunscreen on the neck and shoulders. The sleeves end at the bicep and the shorts are a little longer than boxer briefs. The fabric feels good, not thin like Lycra but not thick and restrictive like neoprene. The inside of the fabric is a bit fuzzy/fleecy, which was odd, but maybe it keeps you warmer in cold water. Haven't seen how it holds up yet in the pool or wash. My son is 10 and a pretty standard size. He wears 9/10 in some brands and 10/12 in others. This suit fits him snugly and looks good, but if it weren't stretchy it looks like it would be too short in the torso/cause a wedgie. I have a feeling he will outgrow it by next summer. Therefore I would guess that the Kid size 4 is equivalent to an 8/10. As I mentioned, the company should be the ones posting measurements and size estimates, but I did measure the suit with a ruler, laid flat (so, double these numbers). Perhaps this can be helpful to someone: (in inches) zipper length: 17 length from top of zipper (front of neck) to crotch: 23 leg/thigh cuff: 6.75 arm/bicep cuff: 4.5 waist: 11.75 neck: 5.75 Overall, at less than $20 I would say this is a good buy, but I wouldn't get this brand again without some specific size guidelines to help choose the next size up.
