BEST PASTA SAUCING PAN
Best pan to sauce pasta hands down. Was tired of splattering everywhere while vigorously mixing using a skillet, so instead I used a high walled sauce pan to skip on the stove cleaning. Sauce pan was tough to mix hard and wouldn’t emulsify the sauce well. In comes this pan, found it as a recommendation from Serious Eats. I was looking for a saucier but couldn’t stomach the price for the Made In or Demeyere ones. This pan does everything you want to and more! Mix hard as you want and no splatter! You can even toss the pasta in the pan and keep clean. Not only that, it’s really easy to clean the sauce washes off like water! And it’s 40 bucks!! You can’t beat it, big enough to serve a party, small enough to make for one! BUY IT. YOUR PASTA WILL TASTE SO MUCH BETTER WHEN YOU CAN SAUCE RIGHT.

It’s a really great tossing pan really a mini wok.
I don’t understand the people that say this is a terrible hard to clean and everything sticks pan. I don’t think they seasoned the pan properly or use the pan the way it should be used. If you do everything correctly this pan is scorching hot on low to medium heat, cooks incredibly well and is very easy to toss and seer food properly. It is also very easy to clean afterwards. But you must immediately upon completion of cooking wash it with a damp sponge in very hot water dry it put it on the flame just like cast-iron and then give it a quick seasoning. I use refined coconut oil. I have zero complaints and nothing sticks at all.

See tomato sauce and pasta pan being thrown around...and---
This is a wok style aluminum pan [non anodized] and keep seeing pasta and pasta sauce in reviews...if there's ONE thing you should never cook in a non-anodized aluminum pan, its---tomatoes. The acidity reacts and you have weirdly bitter results. Stick to stainless, anodized aluminum and cast when making or using pasta sauce that involves tomatoes. If it's used to toss pasta off to the side of cooking/warming, that IS what this style is used for. This is also NOT usable as a stir-fry wok either, as it isn't anodized and any level of food contact to high heat is immediately met with food that is adhered to the surface badly. I've used it for deep frying [because it is high sided] with great results, also for saucing pasta. This is purely a limited use item. Woks are typically made of carbon steel that develops a non stick surface over time.

Perfect pasta finishing pan
Great Wall design and heat handling. I finish cacio and other pastas all the time with it and can’t think of anything to improve with it. Sturdy and handles heat really balanced.

Great for cooking but very heavy
This pan does everything you want it to do. However, it is very heavy. I have trouble gripping so this is an issue for me. 20 years ago this probably would have been my favorite pan.

Handle shape can’t stand up to the weight of the pan
It’s a well made pan but if you want to rapidly toss your pasta, the handle is not designed to give you the needed grip to easily move the food around given the weight of the pan. If you have other uses that require stationary cooking, then it’s probably fine.
