Keeps it clear enough to see light
I like that this is fairly easy to install but we had to add hairspray to the water with soap to get it to adhere. It would just fall off without it. Glad I read this on the internet or I would really been upset with the product. I have purchased the other patterns and did not have to due this. I think this one is just heavier in general, but worked great

Looks nice on the inside only
We installed this product to keep our dog from barking at passers by. It works for this purpose and it looks nice from the inside. I like the subtle texture. Unfortunately you can see parts of it where it’s not stuck all the way from the street. I have reapplied all the panes 3 times to try and get a uniform adhesion but nothing works. I used a squeegee, a credit card. Lots of water, less water. I give up. It’s a bummer because this issue gives it a cheap look from the street.

Mostly works
It keeps the light out the way I wanted. It’s night enough during the day, but dampens it. At night, it keeps the room feeling private. The adhesion isn’t great so expect it to peel up frequently. If you’re okay with that or this is a temporary fix, I’d recommend it. Not the easiest to put up though.

Best Decision Ever - Artscape is seriously top shelf in terms of product quality but also great customer service!!
[Updated review September 2016] I've enjoyed the privacy on my windows in our garage the last year however, the film recently started peeling from the top corner and is beginning to fall. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed. ===================== [Originally posted 5-Stars in October 2015] Have to say, one of the best experiences I’ve had - flawless execution, little to no issue what so ever and the end result is outstanding. My goal was to remove the 2” blinds in the garage and do straight Artscape product. I am fairly familiar with how window film works and knew I needed a really clean surface so I proceeded to scrape paint speckles off the glass and any other surface ‘stuff’ then used a non-ammonia based window cleaner to really clean the glass. Once that was done, I measured to within a 1/16” the width and height of each window sash and transferred the measurements to the back side of the film's paper backing. Using a razor knife and straight edge, I cut the pieces to size then using a spray water bottle, added a few drops of dish soap to clean water and sprayed it liberally on the glass and on the slick side of the film and placed the film on the glass. Once on the glass, I sprayed the film some more and using the squeegee I got with the film (thats a great little tool by the way) I gently worked the bubbles out and made sure the film was in place. A couple edges needed a little extra trimming but for the most part, flawless. This is a 2-person job, would have been a real hassle otherwise. My wife & I looked at it this evening with the garage lights on, can’t see anything through the film - what a great product!! During the daylight, the film seems to make it brighter in the garage now too - awesome byproduct!!

Solved our problem
We bought this to cover the bottom of our storm door. Our cats looked out saw another cat and went crazy. We covered the bottom have of the glass. Light comes in but the cats can not see out. The installation was amazing easy. Just follow the directions and all the bubbles go away.

Beautiful and a good value
I tested a roll of this to put over a very dated huge 80's mirror in my living room. If you follow the installation instructions, this is really easy to install, even by yourself. The product allows light to reflect off the mirror but the mirror itself is totally obscured (which is what we wanted). A few tips: 1) Use plenty of of a water / soap solution. That's the only way you can manipulate the product 2) This product is made of plastic, so it did not trip smoothly with my Exact-O knife the way wallpaper would. Therefore, I found it easiest to cut the product to the exact size / shape beforehand. I will use a boxcutter and a straightedge the next time I have to trim any part of the product once set in place 3) Make sure you have a good squeegee that can get int corners.

Easy privacy
We originally purchased this for our daughter's bedroom. It faces the street and we wanted to give her privacy. It was easy to measure and cut. I used a quilter's mat and boycotted. I didn't read the instructions and didn't wet the window first - it left a lot of bubbles that were a pain! Even so, it turned out great and gives a beautiful look while providing privacy. We decided to apply it to a living room window as well and this time I DID follow instructions, got the window wet. It made it SO much easier, and there were only a couple large bubbles that were easy to remove. So to sum up: quilter's cutting mat, box cutter, and follow the instructions! Great privacy product
I found it difficult to measure & cut. Another review suggested it would help to have lines on the reverse side. I agree. I purchased the 'Trellis' Artscape Window Film in a store and was very pleased with it. It was easier for me to apply, probably because of the pattern. I also have the 'Wisteria' Artscape on another window, put on years ago & I still love it. My Amazon order arrived sooner than the ETA. Thank you for a beautiful product.

Good option instead of curtain or blinds
I ordered the "Rice Paper" version. It was the one I saw in store that seems to block view the best but let the sun get in. Pro: - Not blocking light too much - Good privacy, the effect is very blurred shadow from outside, if you have a light inside - Bigger format came with a tool to flatten it to the window (very useful) - Easy to apply Con: - to have a perfect fit is hard; when cutting even with guideline to leave some space, it was too large when I applied it (the film stretches when I removed the air bubbles); I had to cut it more, when it was on the window) I am pretty sure that with practice I would have been good at sizing it, but when you expect to install it once or twice it can be tricky. :) Overall I am very please with the result!

fácil de trabajar, acabado excelente.
Excelente vinilo con aspecto papel de arroz, seguir instrucciones y muy fácil de colocar, IMPORTANTE, pulverizar el agua con jabon en abundancia como indica por toda la superficie, al primero le puse menos agua y salieron dos miniburbujas que ni se ven, en los 5 siguientes bien pulverizado por todo perfecto perfecto. Buenas sensaciones. Producto con doble embalaje, perfectamente protegido.
