2nd One... Great Product

I use one for easy back water surf fishing.... now have one for my sons boat. Sometimes we just carry too much tackle... these are great and easy for what I need!

Handy bag that needs better fitting and stronger plastic bag inserts.

The bag is going with me on a fly fishing trip to Colombia. It will hold all my largest flies (11") along with some terminal tackle like hooks etc. inside the zippered clear pockets on the inside. The mesh Zippered pocket on the other side will be a perfect place to store used flies while they dry. That said, I have had to modify it because it is lacking thoughtful practicality. *I added my own PROPERLY SIZED zippered sleeves because theirs are just of poor quality and too large for their own bag. Their poor quality became evident today when I went to open one and the whole tab ripped off, instead of opening! See photos. I haven't even taken it fishing yet! *I also added bright pink zipper pulls because everything on this bag is black on black on black, and they were hard to see for me. I don't want to be slowed up when the fish are biting! One exception to that is the red white & and black main zipper pulls(2) that are kind of small, but work. *I had to add a yellow handle on the end so I could easily locate and pull it out of my dark dry bag. (It will only fit in my bag that way) When you close the main zipper, you have to stuff the corners of the plastic bags back in in order to zip it. They should have rounded them or just found a bit smaller bags. Overall, this is a good buy. You just may need to modify it to suit your needs.

Pros and Cons.

I just got my Berkeley Binder and was very excited to get it. I thought it was a great idea because I like to stay organized, using more time on the water. The idea is excellent!!! The outside of the binder is made well, the zippers are strong, I like the terminal tackle pockets w/ zippers, and large pocket w/ pliers pocket. I also like that the zippers have the Berkeley logo along with the large Berkeley logo on the main pocket. I was pretty upset when I saw that the actual bait bags were made of a material and seal you would find in a zip lock sandwich bag and ... I would expect a thicker material along with a better seal. A heavy duty freezer bag and seal ( lock ) material would be more practical. This is made for outdoor anglers??? Some people are hard on their equipment and these bags in particular should be made to last. I feel as though the zipper it’s self getting caught on one of the bags would tear a big hole in it. Also, adding individual pouches would keep the baits from sliding. I found this products on sale for $14.99 and I believe that’s all it’s worth. I bought some extra bait bags ( 5 pack ) because it appears to hold a lot of baits 3-6 per bag, depending on how big the bags are. I’m giving this product 5 STARS for the actual binder and features. And 2 STARS for the bait bags. I know the rating ( Stars ) is confusing but, I hope you understand after reading. Have fun out there guys and be safe!!!

Convenient storage

Good storage method for oddball stuff. I do with the bags were of thicker/stiffer plastic and opened towards the rings instead of away from them to prevent stuff falling out of the bags if it gets jostled while open. The actual case seems to be good enough quality and will hold up for a while

Seems durable, great organizer and not too big

Overall the material of the bag seems durable, but only time and fishing trips will tell if it holds up. The bag isn't too big which makes it easier to store in your kayak or boat. I haven't tested their claim of it holding 42 bags of plastics but I got about 36 bags in and it still zipped shut pretty easily. This bag makes will make it so much easier to find the bait you need when you're out on the water and is a lot better way to organize your plastics that what I used to use. Right now I'm completely satisfied with this purchase.

This is a great soft plastic organizer

This is a great soft plastic organizer!!! I kayak and wanted something that I can strap to the Yak without having a crate full of plano boxes. This binder has room for baits, terminal tackle, tiny plano full of weights, bobbers, stops, more hooks, and a tube of scent. I also was concerned about not keeping my baits in their original packaging... RESOLVED! I love how 3 packs in original packaging fit into each pouch. Being a new angler I believe in the philosophy of "Buy Once, Buy Right..." And I think I did just that! Well made and great quality all for $13!

I use this bag too put all my gulp soft plastics in there was plenty of room even came with a half a dozen ziplock bags or so

It's a nice binder

The binder is great, but I knew from the reviews that the bags in it were useless as they are very light sandwich thickness bags. I have the 14x9 model. I bought some mesh clear document bags with zippers. The B5 size fits perfect. Amazon warehouse great deal!

I am pleased with this Berkley bait binder which I got at a great price from Amazon warehouse deals, as used but in very good condition. To me it looks like someone purchased and returned it immediately, not used at all, because the binder had its original wrapping and all the tags. This is a good sized binder with a couple of zippered compartments on the outside, one which houses a pocket for fishing pliers, which I find useless because of it's small size. I tried fitting 3 types of pliers, and they were all to big, I even tried a pair of fishing forceps to no avail. You also get a sling strap to carry the binder across your chest. On the inside there are 7 good sized plastic bags to place your plastic baits. The bags are a bit flimsy, and I would have preferred a ziplock type seal. The stiching on the bag was poor. But overall, because of the discount price at which I got the bait bag , I will keep it. At full price I would have definitely looked around at other bait bags. It is a good bag with plenty of room for improvement.
