Almost perfect

I have a hard to fit foot: 5.5 E, high instep. It's difficult for me to find shoes that will go across my instep. Width is usually a problem, because normally an EE is too wide but a D is too narrow. I ordered a 6XW in this booties and the fit is great. This even goes over my instep! Nice wide toe box without looking clunky. My daughter's foot is half a size larger and not wide, but she found them a good fit for her too. The leather is soft and bends nicely with the ankle. Nice design elements with the comfort of a flat. Plenty of arch support. The problem is that somebody decided that these should have a suede lining. Suede is grippy. Which means that they don't go on with socks, tights, or a plastic bag trying to cover up your socks or tights! Which means wearing them barefoot, which I do not like at all. Unfortunately, I had to take a star off for that. So why do I love these so much? Because despite that major problem, they're fun, comfy booties! I think Cobb Hill is just magic.

Love these boots!

They were a little snug at first but loosened up after wearing them for a bit. Now I love them! In fact I bought a second pair in a different color. A bit pricey but I think they will last a long while as they seem well made.

Absolutely gorgeous, but too narrow.

I loved the shoe. It's well made, and absolutely beautiful. I normally order a wide shoe, but thought is try a extra-wide and see if it would be more comfortable. Unfortunately, it was nuch tighter than my other shoes. It seemed more like a medium width. I really wanted to keep the shoes, but sadly had to return them. So the question is, are they mis-sized, or does the manufacturer not know how to measure wide width? I'd repurchase without hesitation if I thought they could provide wide shoes.

Narrow Toe Box, Sizing Off

I wear an 8.5 Wide in most shoes, the wide width is needed due to a bunion. I have another pair of Rockport Cobb Hill leather boots in 8.5 Wide that I like but which I can't wear for long periods of walking because the toe box is a tiny bit too narrow and they still squeeze my bunion a bit despite being well worn-in at this point. I purchased these boots in 8.5 Extra Wide and not only is the toe box narrower than my older pair, they are also a tad shorter, maybe 1/4", so they feel very tight. I am unfortunately returning them. I love the style and they look great in person, but the sizing is way off and I don't trust that ordering a 9 Extra Wide will be any better since the width isn't right. They would of course loosen a bit with wear, but I specifically wanted a pair that were wider than the current ones I have and these definitely aren't it. Do not recommend for folks with bunions.

Bonne qualité

Après avoir lu les commentaires, la botte semblait étroit et faite petite. J'ai pris la chance et voilà.....je porte du 41 européen où du 10 us avec un pied moyen. De plus j'ai des orthèses et elles sont faites beaucoup plus grandes que prévu donc j'ai fini avec des 9.5 us et même avec l'orthese il reste beaucoup d'espace en largeur et hauteur. Cuir de très belle qualité et très légère !
