Inferior Stitching

Generally, I like the pants. Fabric, cut, fit, trim, all functional and decent. I am very disappointed in the stitching, especially around the waistband. I'm currently deployed and wear these for work. I wear them for a couple of days at a time. After the first washing I noticed several places along the inside waistband where the stitching is coming apart. I looks like a child ran the line... thread starts and stops no less than 7 times in what should be a solid run. I'd return them if I could get a replacement pair in anything less than 2 months, but as it is, I'll spend 30 min on the riggers machine fixing them myself. Quality control should have caught this.

All Purpose Field Uniform

Nylon/Cotton blend was specifically what I was looking for in this uniform. I wanted something a little more rigid and durable than the polyester/cotton blend most uniforms are made of. This shirt ZIPPERS up. I wear it with the Nylon/Cotton tactical response pant they sell. And it is used as your all purpose uniform of the day when you are deep in the elements, or off the grid, in an environment with woodland colors. You can do a lot with this uniform, but I especially like it for the rigid and toughness of the fabric. It seems like this uniform as a basic field uniform is my go to, as opposed to standard issued Marine Corps BDU's. It's time to upgrade.

Received my order late, however after contacting the seller I received my package the next day. Great fit, though absolutely no sizing information was provided by the seller, I had to google Tru-spec website and base my information from their sizing chart with great success. Only have had these pant 2 weeks at the time of this review, however awesome fit with great performance value.

TRU Pants

Good tough pants. I have several of these that I have worn for 6 years now and they are still going strong. The only improvements I would make in these is a flex fit waist band and a zipper fly.

and perfect for a week of extended hiking

I can not rave about these pants enough! They are incredibly durable, well made, and perfect for a week of extended hiking. I did add a DWR finish to them after purchase to round things out, but during a week of backcountry camping these things stood up to some serious abuse with almost zero sign of wear. I have to echo what others have said, these paints fit large. I am a large guy myself (52 inch waist), and the 4X were huge on me. In my case this was more a plus then a negative, so I did not take a star off, but if you are not sure what size to buy, go with the smaller size!
