Unit died just after return policy window. Fixed and upgraded it myself.

Broken in less than two months light use. First cooling fan went out, and now it's beginning to make loud high pitch noises and loses power to create an arc. Now quit feeding wire, motor not even trying. Should have bought a name brand unit. Very disappointed. Frustrating that it went out just after return policy expired, so I'd have to pay to ship a 44lb welder to get warranty repairs, or fix it myself. UPDATE: pulled unit apart, installed a new quality fan, fixed the issue with the circuit board, and installed upgraded feed motor. Also reversed the fan flow to pull air in the rear instead, so it cools the heatsinks immediately as the outside air enters the box instead of pulling through the front and finally reaching the important parts last before exiting the unit. Now it stays cool longer, and doesn't draw dust in the front vents from your work area. So far it's still working very well and is much smoother and doesn't vary feed speed so much as the arc draws more or less current. Very consistent. So, if you get one of these, and you have issues with it, you can make your own upgrades. :-) It's a much better unit now!

Worth the price

Had an issue with it not working but company was awesome. Sent replacement part, now works perfectly. Excellent welder for the price. This works as well as higher priced welder. My husband had in the past
