Really solid case

This case has a lot of great features, The backpack straps can be tucked in and hidden if you prefer the messenger style. It fits a fox oboe well, a bit of wiggle room, but still secure. I love the side pocket. It is large enough to hold music and other items, like a water cup. Great case for a very reasonable price.

Excellent case ~ excellent value.

This is an absolutely brilliant case for the hardworking, jobbing musician. You can easily fit a laptop in with your oboe, accessories, diary, phone, wallet, music stand, reeds, tuning machine, reed-making kit, cuddly toy... well, maybe not the cuddly toy. But it is strong, the oboe is very well protected, it is rain-proof, good quality construction and can be carried as a back pack or as a conventional shoulder bay. I'm delighted with it and in using it all the time, questions and then further purchases by colleagues have ensured! All I ask is that it becomes available in the UK more readily and could Protec PLEASE start making a single messenger case like this for the English Horn too? I would buy one immediately.

The dimensions of this bag are listed on Amazon as 13 x 6 x 16 inches. A standard orchestra music folder is approximately 11.75 x 13.75 inches. My orchestra folders do not fit in the "attached sheet music messenger bag", which they would if the dimensions listed were the actual dimensions of the product. For the sake of verification I did my own measurements and they are as follows: 11.5 x 5 x 15. Also the zipper for the compartment that holds the backpack straps was broken upon arrival. Amazon has issued a full refund, but I want to spare any fellow musicians the disappointment that I experienced. Orchestra music folders have been basically the same size for as long as I've been playing. Why do manufacturers of instrument cases consistently ignore these dimensions, as if we just want to stuff loose sheet music into our bags without a folder then be held responsible for damage to the music? See attached photo for how your music folders will look inside of the messenger compartment. Lessoned learned here: If you don't see a photo from the makers of the bag with a standard orchestra music folder comfortably situated inside of a zippered compartment, then they are probably full of it and it won't fit.

Great case, but can't hold standard music folder.

Case is very nice. Very durable. Nice convertable backpack straps. We also have the bassoon version of this case and it has held up very well over 3 years of daily use. Storage of the instrument is very well protected. Only problem, as others have noted, is that the other compartment is not large enough to hold a standard music folder. Obviously not a problem with the bassoon case, but makes the oboe/clarinet case not practical. We will be returning.

I've been looking for a new case for my oboe and this case is the one! I used to use an old protec case cover and thought this was a nice change! It does everything it says. The backpack strap function of this case is my favorite aspect of this whole case! :)

Great messenger oboe case

This is a perfect case for my oboe. It protects my oboe and has a large compartment to carry my music and all other necessary items dealing with playing the oboe. I would highly recommend this messenger case.

Great value.

Holds my oboe securely as well as my music folder and all accessories. Wide padded shoulder strap that doesn't slip off my shoulder. Very well made and good quality.
