Gorgeous GLASS (not plastic)

I've bought seven of these Mission-style lamps so far (including this one) and they’re all beautiful. They are obviously made by the same factory (for different brands). For example, this Chloe table lamp uses the exact same wood and glass as similar style Capulina lamps. This one is unusual because the horizontal pieces of stained glass have a pearly iridescence when viewed from an angle (see photo). Some reviewers think the shades are made of plastic, but they are definitely glass. They just sound like plastic when you tap on them. That's why newer Chloe lamps in this same style now come with a small piece of the stained glass and a note that reads "Sample Stained Glass: Why does it look and sound like plastic? The stained glass pieces are wrapped with copper foil then soldered together with the soldering iron. Copper foil and soldering will deaden the sound making it sound like plastic. Soldering is done at an ideal temperature of around 300 degrees. At 300 degrees the plastic will melt. Feel free to try to melt this glass sample." The newer Chloe lamps also include cleaning instructions for the glass: "Please us a lemon oil-based furniture polish on a soft cloth, then wipe art glass gently. DO NOT USE AMMONIA." It's pretty but..

the finial at the top doesn't screw on right. I'm going to have to crescent wrench the screw that the washer sits on to stop the shade from being wobbly. This also came backed in horrible styrofoam that I think I'll still be cleaning up weeks from now. I had to break it up to dispose of and it's that sticky kind of styrofoam that clings to just about everything.

Beautiful colors with warm glow of light in base

Love these lamps! Got two for both sides of my mission sofa. Easy to assemble- only had to add shade and spindle to top. Well boxed. Have them on a timer so the base light serves as warm nightlight.

Very cheap looking lamp

I buy a lot of Tiffany style lamps and have never sent one back, but this one is SO cheap and ugly looking. I truly can't believe that it is even offered at anything less then $50.00. I bought this on a wharehouse deal and paid less then $60.00 and still was offended for what I paid for it as it is that cheap looking. The plastic "glass" panels don't even line up properly and it is super flimsy. I sent it back paying less then $60 and could not imagine someone paying the full price.

Cheap looking bc it is

I ordered 2 Lamps from this company and both looked cheap and we're built cheap. The lamp shade screwed on wouldn't even hold in place without wobbling. That's why I only order stuff like this with free returns. Seriously, I cannot believe anybody would give this a four or five star review
