A GREAT packable/foldable rain jacket!

Being that I live in the Pacific Northwest, there are those times when we get those unexpected, unreported downpours. That being said, I felt it was time to find a rain jacket which I could place in my backpack for those times. I searched various rain jackets on Amazon. One of the foldable/packable jackets highly rated was this particular Columbia one. I went to the Columbia Sportswear flagship store in Portland and saw this jacket up close. The colors are vibrant and stands out (for those dark cloudy, rainy days) and fit me perfectly. The clerk was kind enough to show me how easy it was to pack the jacket into the pocket. I purchased the jacket from Amazon because the price was about 30% cheaper than in the store. I am very satisfied with the quality, the look, feel, and color choice. I would recommend this jacket to anyone needing a jacket "in a pinch." PROS: Quality (it's a Columbia Sportswear!), price, fit, and color choices CONS: None noted.

Works great for biking

I've owned a couple Columbia jackets in the past and I've been happy with the quality and the fair price. This jacket didn't disappoint either. The jacket is lightweight and a slim-fit - what drew me to the jacket originally. I'm 6'2, 175lbs and the small fits perfectly. There's enough room to wear a hoodie/sweatshirt underneath, if wanted, but not too much room that the jacket looks baggy otherwise. My main use for the jacket has been for biking. It works great to block the wind and most rains. I have ridden in a heavy rain for nearly an hour and some water did seep through, so it doesn't appear to be completely waterproof. That has only occurred once.

easily packable in a daypack

The purpose of the purchase of this jacket was to get a lightweight rain jacket, easily packable in a daypack, for hiking. The thing is extremely light and for that purpose, it's a win. However, I haven't worked out in this jacket, or been in a heavy downpour (yet), but as far as fit and style, it looks pretty good. You can layer a thin fleece under during colder weather. My opinion may change if I attempt any heavy exercise or strenuous hike.

Waterproof? Yes. Breathable? Maybe

You MUST wear a long sleeve undergarments w this. If not your arms will be sweat soup. I bought it for my cycling commute into work. Wore it on a 50 degree rainy day and arrived still soaked because my sweat. I'm thinking a breathable undergarment woulda done the trick. This is a shell and little else. Ok for short wears when no chance of sweating is present.

Great raincoat/windbreaker for traveling

Great raincoat/windbreaker for traveling. Packs very small and looks fairy good after being wadded up (just put some water on it and hang it up). As for the evaporation, durring one rainstorm, it had a tendancy to make me sweat and it was 60 degrees out. I have other jackets made from goretex products that do a better job but they cost at least three times what this cost and could not be in a 3''x3''x3 square.

Great jacket, very waterproof, does not breathe well.

Love this jacket, water has never gotten through . However, do not expect to wear in weather above 75 degrees, it does not breathe well at all. I didn't have too much of an expectation that it would breathe well, but I thought others should know.

Good product, for layering, consider sizing up.

Review based entirely on size. I'm one of those people stuck somewhere between sizes. Sometimes I'm a medium, sometimes a small. Depends on who makes the product. In this, I am a medium. My original purchase was a small. I returned for medium because while it was a near perfect fit, it was tight at the armpits and hips WHEN WORN OVER 3 LAYERS. I want something that doesn't restrict movement when worn over my puffy down jacket. This article is a shell only and not intended for warmth.

Waterproof, kind of breathable, lightweight

It is super lightweight, which is a big plus. Much easier to choose how many layers you want underneath and throw in a nice shell jacket. It keeps me dry though Pacific Northwest rainstorms and snow. So it's great for that. It is kind of breathable, but not extremely so. I still feel sweaty during a long hike, but not as sweaty as wearing an un-breathable jacket.

Tenia mis reservas al pensar que podia ser clon, sin embargo al tenerla y revisarla tendria que ser un muy buen clon para la calidad que muestra, tanto en el bordado del logo de la marca, el refuerzo en diversas costuras y detalles de la manga, forro realmente impermeable, ademas internamente tiene diseño cosa que no se ve en las imagenes que se muestran para la compra y le da estilo. muchos detalles para ser clon, ademas el pedido llego en tiempo, se realizaron dos compras al mismo proveedor y las separaron, pero respetan sus tiempos, asi que yo recomiendo este producto.
