Know what you're buying and you'll be pleased with the results.
With the correct expectations and understanding of what this is - it's a good value for what you pay. Things to understand: 1. It's about as low-cost as frames of this type/size come. 2. It's particle-board, cardboard backing, acrylic pane. 3. The laminate is printed/textured tape adhered to the frame. I ordered 3 in relatively larger sizes: 18x24 for some screen print posters and 16x20 for a photo re-print, in Barnyard Gray. Basically unless you get real close and personal, unless you're into this stuff and looking for whether it's wood or not, you wouldn't think twice. The laminate (I prefer to call it tape) does have both a visible and tactile texture to simulate wood grain so when light subtly reflects off it, it adds to the illusion. Shading of the color was rather accurate to what I see on screen. The frame "border" width is generous and something I specifically wanted. There is a big difference in visual appeal between having something in this vs. those even cheaper, less than 1" wide metal poster frames. In short, these look acceptably natural at regular viewing distances. Also, the fit is true to the sizes they offer. My posters and photo prints fit perfectly well. Like others report, I rather like that it's acrylic and cardboard. It keeps the frame light which is still a decent weight at poster sizes. Cardboard is also nice in that you can press the metal tabs that keep it in place a little bit and the cardboard has give for a snug fit. The packaging came very well padded and labeled as fragile; I was surprised how big the box was. I didn't have any shipping damage/issues. My actual prints for this project were about $50 each so I really didn't feel like spending more than that per frame to get these on my wall. Pieces that I care a lot more about and cost more - I spent on more expensive framing solutions. Then again, almost no one except fellow art enthusiasts ever talk about the frames. So for 80% of homes out there displaying miscellaneous things for home decoration, your hobby, these more than suffice. Bottom line: The materials used in these frames are exactly what you pay for so understand and keep that expectation. That said, these are perfectly great frames that make the framed pieces look that much nicer. Overall I would totally buy these again for appropriate pieces as long as they don't run into issues as time ticks forward.

Nice frame
Had to change switch out the plexiglass for actual glass but other than that it’s a really nice frame.

Beautiful frame!
I love this frame! It looks distressed like a vintage frame but it's smooth so it's easy to clean. It's the perfect looking frame for a primitive cross stitch project that I'm working on. I would definitely purchase from Craig frames again! It arrived well pkg with no damage.

Don't buy the large frames!!!
I was ready to give 5 stars, but just couldn't and here's why: I purchased 3 frames: (1) 8x10 (1) 12x16 and (1) 14x16. I opened the two smaller ones first and was so happy with the quality and packaging of this product. Nice wood finish (I ordered the dark brown), very solid/sturdy, nice glass frames, firm backing, sizes as advertised - I was so impressed!! Then I opened the largest frame - not only was it the most expensive frame, but it DIDN'T EVEN COME WITH REAL GLASS! It had a different wire piece on the back for installation/hanging, as if to compensate for the weight (which would normally make sense since it's a larger frame), but my largest frame probably weighed about the same as the medium frame (the small and medium frames had real glass). There was no point in hanging this with a wire - and I actually didn't. I installed a little clip like the other frames had, which was much better for hanging. The "glass" on the large frame was some thin cheap plastic and I wouldn't have paid the price if I knew it was not real glass. Also, the two smaller sized frames came with a sturdy backing, but the large frame had CHEAP CARDBOARD!! If you are interested in these frames and are getting a size similar or smaller than 12x16 - I highly recommend this frame. Unfortunately, if you are looking at one of the larger sizes then it is NOT worth your money. To reiterate - the wood is nice and my pictures look wonderful on the wall, but the fact that the price increases per size but comes with such cheap quality of "glass" and cardboard backing, I definitely wouldn't purchase these again. If the prices of the larger frames were similar to that of the small and medium ones then I would have given this product 5 stars. But to cut manufacturing costs by using cheap materials and then charging more for the larger sizes is very unprofessional and disappointing in my opinion.

Wonderful frame for what you're spending. Want a $200 frame? Go spend $200.
Guys, this is an inexpensive frame so if you're expecting the quality of a $200 frame, go buy a $200 frame. It's a wood sticker on wood composite but I think it looks great. The edges are not peeling up on mine. It isn't glass, it's plastic but it's shiny and you wouldn't know it wasn't glass unless you went a tapped on it. I also thought it was ideal when putting the picture in the frame because I didn't have to worry about it breaking or anything. I think this is an amazing frame for the amount of money I spent on it. I had a $1.00 poster I wanted to frame in something nicer than a typical poster frame and this worked beautifully. No one is going up to your wall art and taking it off the hook to feel it and make sure it's real wood and mine came looking like real wood. I wouldn't think looking at it that it's fake at all. It also made it easy to hang because it was light weight.

Beautiful Light-weight Frame
I absolutely love this frame! The grey color is very modern but goes well in our rustic-toned home. The frame is really light-weight without feeling cheap. It makes it easy to hang. We actually just used two command strips and it has been holding fine for quite some time. The frame does not have glass it but rather something like plexi-glass. You have to pull the film off of both sides of the plexi-glass before you put your picture in (otherwise you will think it's awfully foggy looking!) That being said, I don't mind the plexi-glass at all. It makes the frame alot lighter and although it has a slight glare, it doesn't bother me. I think overall, for the price, this frame cannot be beat in style or size.
