This kit fit our Kohler toilet fine. The tank has a flat front and angled sides. Three stars for how well it matched the original, but: 1) it still feels a little "squishy" when I flush--the nylon lever is the same as the original: not strong enough; 2) the instructions are pitiful (the "Instructions" for installation are, "Install your new Danco tank lever by hand tightening the nut clockwise." Nothing about getting the nut off or the whole lever assembly through the little hole in the tank, while the original came apart in pieces.); and 3) Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH) sells this for $6.59

Great for side-mount toilets

Bought this in attempt to fix the "hold lever down for 30 seconds to flush" problem I was having and it worked like a charm. Beware the "universal kits" that say they will work for front or side mount; they are often more expensive and do not work as well.

Does not fit Kohler "San Raphael" side mount model

If your toilet is a San Raphael or other Kohler model which has a concave front tank wall (the front wall of the tank curves inward about an inch towards the back wall) it won't work. The angle of the arm causes it to scrape against the inside front wall. I tried heating and bending the angle, but the arm is nylon and won't budge.
