This big boy looks great peaking out of my little pond. It handles water well and does his job of looking beautiful perfectly. I have it all shut down for the winter now but when Spring comes he will be longing in the pond again spewing water from his nose (you will need to provide your own equipment- this is for the hippo only) and looking good. It has some good weight to it but not a heavy item, it stays in place well but you will have to rest it on something to keep it above water, I used a stack of concrete blocks. Great art piece.

Excellent quality. I know it is made for the yard, but so far I have not been able to bring myself to setting it outside in the elements. I am afraid someone will break off an ear trampling over it. It would look great hanging on my wall inside, but so far I just have not figured out how to hang it. Since it is made from brass, it is extremely heavy and would require great care in hanging properly. I have the perfect spot for it in the yard. But, so far it is still decorating my desk instead. I really do not want it to get messed up. If you have a pond, it has all the fittings inside to house a small pump. If someone has a suggestion for a safe way to hang it inside, please let me know.

Glorious!

(Reviewed by my wife): I literally squealed when I opened the package and saw this bronze hippo. Hippos are one of my favorite animals, and this bronze hippo is just glorious. It is a beautiful piece of art. For now I have the hippo in my garden, but I agree with another reviewer that it would look amazing hung on a wall. Note: This does not come with a pump. You will need to buy that separately if you want to put the hippo in a pond and have water spout from its nostrils. I am seriously considering constructing a pond so that I can see my hippo spout.

Unique outdoor feature.

Great addition to any pond or yard. I tested the fountain function and it worked well. I settled on placing it by the front door in a planter box. My daughter loves to see it as we come and go from the house.
