Amazing and must have for Symmons cold seat
So glad I found this tool and I couldn’t have done this job without it Replacing cold seat of Symmons shower value. Soft brass wouldn’t budge with Raven or new Symmons tool. Put this in place and one easy turn and it was lose and easy to take out. Looked at the brass later and this had a lot of grip marks. Must have tool

THIS SAVED MY MTB
My mtb seat-post was stuck inside my frame and I tried everything to release it, but it just wouldn't budge. I ended up cutting off the top which created a hole where I placed this beefy drill in. I sprayed around the seat-post with some WD-40 to help twist the seat-post out when I applied force. After some time, I was able to wiggle it out with the help of a massive wrench and it felt so good. Once I got it out I was able to remove this drill from the seat-post and I noticed that there was no damage to the drill bit, only the seatpost (which I replaced). Literally a life saver. 10/10 recommend for anyone with a stuck seat-post or a pipe of some kind, it works wonderfully.

This tool will save you money
Glad I read the other reviews regarding problems with removing the cold seat in the Symmons Temptrol shower valve. This tool did the trick in no time. Watch some videos on YouTube and you will save yourself some $$ on a plumber.

Protruded too deep catching inside of pipe on 1/2” application.
The taper is a bit too abrupt. Range should be 3/4-1/2” on smaller end it penetrated too deep, the spirals bite in about 1/4” before it works. This allowed tool to by-pass my broken stub and grip the pipe beyond. Didn’t work. Cut a bit off the end of it and it would work much better. But works on bigger stuff.

Drill America #8 Carbon Steel Screw Extractor
If you are unlucky enough to have stripped out the cold seat in a Symmons Temptrol shower valve while trying to remove it with the Symmons tool, then this #8 extractor is likely the next tool you'll need to continue your journey through plumbing hell. At least it was for me. I was able to use 12" adjustable wrench with this extractor to slowly remove the brass cold seat without destroying the rest of the valve body or copper pipe sweat connections. Definitely worth the cost for this extractor here on Amazon.

Great tool to extract a broken shower arm pipe
My shower arm broke off in the wall. I was told to get a #7 screw extractor to remove it from the pipe in the wall. I had to cut off the end of the screw extractor to get it deep enough into the pipe but it worked great! It was extremely easy to extract the old pipe and it saved me a ton of money because I didn't have to pay a plumber.

Worked great for Symmons Temptrol cold seat removal
My Symmons Temptrol shower cold seat was completely stuck, would not budge even after soaking all night with white vinegar and applying heat. This extractor was perfect for this and I was finally able to remove it to replace it.

Very solid
Used the #8 extractor to remove a stripped Symmons shower valve cold seat. Worked like a charm. Very solid construction on this tool.
