Perfect size 100% recommend
Got this for my nine year old to wear on his birthday! He and his sister share a birthday and he wore this while she wore a princess peach costume. This fit perfect for the theme and was great quality for the price! Fit perfect!

Probably my fault
I ordered xl thinking it would be a size 14-16. It’s actually size 18-20. He’s still growing so no big deal.

Two shirts, two brands, two extremely different sizes
I ordered the medium for our 6 year old boy who is almost 7. He is tall and somewhat slender and wears a 6/7 or a 7 shirt in normal sizes. The medium is HUGE (like an adult small!!). While I was waiting to return the shirt, I ordered the small. It is a completely different shirt (and much better quality). The small had the "tag" embossed and was a slightly deeper red. The medium had a white tag and had extra strings hanging and was of poor quality. Now I'm not sure what to do because I'd like the medium but I want the one that is like the small. I'm afraid if I order another medium, I'll end up with two mediums that are more like adult small. Update with pics: The pic with the black shirt on the bottom is the size small shirt compared to a standard size 5T (Garanimals brand) shirt. I would say it's a tiny bit bigger than a 5 T. Maybe a 6, but probably not a 6/7 which is bigger. The other pic with the blue shirt on the bottom is the size medium compared with a standard size boys 7 shirt. You can see how the medium is insanely bigger. I'd say the medium is more of an adult small. It's too bad because it's an adorable shirt, but the sizing is WAY off. (I ordered one more of each, hoping the sizing was just marked incorrectly, but the second medium came and it's the same. The small arrives tomorrow. Will update post after I evaluate that one.

Cute
I bought this for my five year old son. He just became a big brother in real life so this fits perfectly for the theme of his birthday party and in life. I bought it a little bit big for him so it would last longer than just for his party. It washed up very nicely. Can't wait to buy the Luigi shirt when his brother gets big enough for it. In the meantime for his party is Dad was Luigi. Very cute. Happy with everything.
