The Hadley-Roma alligator strap is beautifully crafted, elegant and of the highest quality - Very Highly Recommended

Hadley-Roma has produced an exquisite alligator watch strap. I have been searching for a watch band for my IWC Pilots Chronograph. The watch originally came with an alligator strap that was manufactured by IWC. In searching for a new strap I discovered that finding an original IWC strap is not only very hard, it is also very expensive. I started searching on Amazon for something that would work for my watch. Originally I ordered a band from another vendor on Amazon and discovered upon receipt that the watch band was not, in fact, an alligator strap as advertised, but a cheap cowhide band made in China. Amazon's great return policy enabled me to return the watch band to the seller without a problem. After I returned my first order I cautiously ordered the Hadley-Roma alligator strap. I was beyond impressed when the watch strap arrived. The Hadley-Roma alligator band is 100% authentic, the strap is beautifully handcrafted, is buttery soft, and, was very nicely packaged. The strap also came with extra lugs which really came in handy when I attached the new band to my watch. After using the BARTON spring bar tool (also ordered from Amazon) to attach my new band I am thrilled with the final result. My IWC has an elegant alligator watch band that is of the highest quality. I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend Hadley-Roma to anyone looking to purchase a new strap for their timepiece. Tom F, Chicago IL.

A quality and premium grade alligator strap

I obtained the strap from Amazon in holiday season of 2015. I have bought other alligator straps from Hadley Roma, Hirsch, and a small manufacture. Craftsmanship: barely visible same color black stitching, very fine alligator belly cut selected. The leather was soft and smooth - gave me a feeling close to Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 car2150.6266 strap. It looks elegant on a dress watch - 20mm at lug and 16mm at buckle. The spring bar at tang clip is solidly made, compared with Alligator embossed storage made by Hadley. Durability: as a side effect of premium alligator, the soft feeling usually compromise with low durability. I will update you when I start to see sign of ware. Expect by the end of 2016 - will compare with other Alligator straps. Bottom line: if one would like to upgrade or replace an alligator strap, and prefer not to pay the premium price of watch makers - tag charges 500 and similar for JLC, hardley Roma is the bottom line to start. Do not go cheaper. That degrades the look. Hirsch is a better option - with matching price. Other thoughts: as always, get a butterfly or deployment clasp to extend the life of your strap - almost double it. Go Hadley Roma or better. Cheaper manufacture has good quality bug the coating (other than steel) worn out too fast. The Hadley Roma alligator side cut was also a economy solution with a shiny finish.

Buckle is silver

Clasp, advertised in gold, came in silver, twice…. Band is super nice, but you have to buy a gold clasp separately if you need gold,

Fair quality, but not worth the price

I have to say I've paid less for better straps. There's nothing really wrong with the strap, but it's too expensive for what you get. The padding is too thin for my preference. I only bought this because it's hard to find quality straps in green. I do not recommend this strap for the price Amazon is charging.

Superior quality and workmanship

Excellent strap. I have owned several OEM straps from the most noted manufactures, and the hand stitched Hadley-Roma is on par with the best. My only issue is that the description was dark brown, and the actual color was closer to an auburn or chestnut. The grain pattern is quite nice.

This alligator strap is very well done with moderate padding, nice matte finish, and large scale pattern. This strap would go well on a variety of watches....dress or sporty. The price is quite reasonable for a strap of this quality.
