Worth the money

I had been looking at this hoodie for over a year. I was hesitant just because of the high price, but I finally pulled the trigger. This is one of the best hoodies that I have ever owned. it's perfect as a layering piece when it's really cold, but it's also great by itself on cool days. Super comfortable, and in my case it was true to size. I'm about 5'10 155 lbs and I ordered a small. If you're on the fence, I would definitely go for it.

Sleeves are loose, order a size down.

As other people have said, the sleeves are unusually loose. Id recommend ordering a size down. The jacket itself is amazing. The stitching is superb, the fabric is soft and doesnt pill, and the pockets are all very well placed. The forearm pockets are perfect for keeping small thin objects like cards and handwarmers. The fit is good besides the sleeves. Not too loose and not skin tight, and the fabric is a good weight for layering. The velcro is good and sturdy for patches and name tapes. Overall an excellent hoodie for a fair price.

Female zipper hoodie

Overall I like it. However, the main zipper is sewn in reverse order. The same way a female garment zipper or buttons are constructed. The front pockets openings are angled more upward enabling items to be dropped in, and aids retention if they become unzipped. I really wish they would have the pocket zippers face outboard when closed as opposed to closing inward. This causes the tabs to hang on the front like little tassles. Sizing seems to be similar to other jackets. Other reviews (perhaps initial runs) were described as running large. I did not find that to be true. It fits nice, fairly light, offering light warmth. I am comparing the earth to a partially fleece lined Empire brand hoodie with water resistant material shell. The Beachhead is much thiner, lighter and not constrictive in anyway. I'd give it 5 star if it were not for the zipper indicating its a female garment.

Less than ideal

It’s hard to fathom why Velcro patches on a Hoodie makes it a $100. It fits weird, it’s not that warm, and it’s not wind proof. I’m a huge fan of Hazard4 gear, but this Hoodie is lame sauce.

This hoodie fits funky, has a reversed zipper and will collect dust like a stripper collects dollar bills, in fact this thing damn near went out of it's way to collect hairs. The fit was tight in the body in all the wrong places, and baggy in the other wrong places? Did the model for this make have some strange proportions, maybe they were shaped like a pear? While the zipper isn't in and of itself awful, it's not standard, so I was constantly trying to unzip it incorrectly. Look, stop trying to make me memorize a different way just to wear your brand of clothing. I even ordered 2 hoodies one of them a size up just in case, but they suffered the exact same fit issues in different sizes. It does look awesome, and has features that would be useful to me, so if it goes through a redesign or refitting maybe I'll try again, but until then? Avoid this thing it's only tacticool.

Great jacket small pockets

Great jacket however The Brest pocket zipper is to short. My small notebooks that would usually go there are now to big. And my phone IPhone8 just fit on the snug side.

I like everything about it already noted in reviews - style, pockets, textile Be careful with the size. My recommendation is to go one size up.

Looks good anywhere

Excellent piece of clothing,shopping in Wholefoods or working downtown Basrah which your employers bear claw morale patch on the velcro strip. I saw a review where someone said the sleeves were baggy at the end,well thats so you can take it off without removing your gloves.Fools aside this is yet another well thought out practical Hazard 4 item.You can pay 5 times the price for a bit of kit with a flashier logo but saveyou hard earned bucks and buy one of these.

Because it's tight fitting, order a size up(better safe than sorry). Yes the zippers are weird..so what? :) I have to say...after wearing it for about a week...absolutely love it. My G5 actually fits in the chest pocket. There is space for the audio cable at the top of the zipper. Do get a 90 degree extension. A year later update : I had it with me pretty much everywhere..NA, APAC, Europe..love it. The only thing that I'd change is the length, more of it (sleeves, torso) and more color options please. Oh, and the zippers for the pockets? Make them straight.

Does fit a size up.I'm 6'1, 220 and an extra large is too large on me. I wear this as my basic station jacket over a tee shirt for Search and Rescue.
