TRAILER BRAKES can be switched
TRAILER BRAKES CAN BE REWIRED. If you’re running trailer brakes on the 6 pin like I am you might find that the trailer brakes are stuck on. This unit will easily come apart with a PH1 screw diver. There are 2 pins on the 6 pin that have screw down terminals on the inside, the rest are soldered. Switch those 2 and you’ll have it as it should be. Total of 6 screws and 5 minutes max to do if you’ve got the right size screw driver. Construction seems like it’ll do. Not super sturdy but I’m in construction and I think it’ll last long enough to be worth it. Fitment is pretty good and it locks correctly so other than the annoying rewire looks good.

WILL NOT WORK WITH A LANCE CABOVER CAMPER PLUG!!!!
Ordered this because I was told this adapter would work on a Lance Cabover camper plug!!!! NO, it will Not work!!! Lance thought they had to chance there plug design just enough nothing else works for it!!!!!!!

Great adapter for quick hauls but it is not a 7 flat as described.
Works for what I need it for. I have two trailers. One with a six-round and one with a 5 round. The adapter fits perfect in the 7 flat on all my trucks but it is only a 6 flat. It clearly says 7 flat even on the package. Without the center, I have no trailer brakes. I can rig it up but that defeats the advantage of the adapter. I have routes I can take which are slower but I still would have liked the description to have been correct. I did see several people say it has no retention. There should be a tab on the Truck connector cover that clips over the end of the adapter. If your's does not have this, bend a piece of aluminum, drill a hole and drive a screw to make an 'L' shaped clip on the end of the truck connector cover.

Does the job of two adaptors in one , I don't have to change when I change trailers.

Works great, but lid will easily break.
This adapter works okay, but lid broke upon first use. Although they are sending a replacement, they should double the thickness of the lid because the heavy spring used to keep the male connector latched will break the lid when unplugging male connector and allowing it to flip down. Functionally it works just fine, but beware of this issue. They are sending me a replacement.

Works well, needed a little mod
The notch that keeps the small plug aligned was not deep enough. A little carving with my leatherman fixed it. Works well otherwise.

Plug and play conversion from 7 pin flat to 6 pin round. The added bonus of the 4 pin connection is nice too.

Mine was internally misswired. But i did not discover it until it was too late to return.
This item was internally miss-wired. The electric brakes wpuld not work. Replaced it with competitors model ans everythingvworked fine.
