Opinions only: Always a great go-to game. Lots of fun. The only thing negative about this latest Deluxe version is the new design of the turnstile over the taller, more easily rotatable design of the Deluxe Edition from the past. The new design is less stable, and we found ourselves tipping the board more often. A first world problem but why degrade the "Deluxe's" past design? I mean other than profit margin, etc.

Delux Scrabble Board
Needed a new game, this will be great to use when playing.

The cardboard box holding all parts of the Scrabble game, came sealed up.
The box holding all parts of the Scrabble game, was so sealed up, I could not open it. There were no directions for that operation. I ended up having to cut off the tabs that locked the box. Later, those tabs were necessary to hold the box together when closed. I had to use scotch tape to tape the tabs back onto the box. Eventually, the box deteriorated due to to tabs having been cut off. It was needed to use as a case to carry the game to the table site from my Apartment. I had to write to Hasbro to try to get the box or suitcase it was to be used for - replaced - for additional cost to me to buy just the case alone without another game. That would have been unnecessary if only they had added instructions on the outside of the case - for opening it in the first place!

We really like how the board turns so smoothly. Also, each square is notched so the letter tiles won’t move as you turn it.

Table top game in a case
Although I purchased a new one, I got one with a flaw in the top by the handle which I taped down with a piece of tape. There had been a choice of one with a flaw on the outside which had been reduced in price and new ones I chose the more expensive one, because I didn't want the flaw. The rest of it was in excellent condition! I am so looking forward to using it. This is a full size board set....not the small travel size, but it is perfectly easy to travel with due to the cardboard case with handle.
