Super Durable- My Big Boy LOVES It!
When I originally purchased this product I thought I was receiving two squeaker toys- a red and a yellow one. I only got one. For the price I'm not sure why I expected two, but just to clarify to everyone purchasing the pictures shows the variety in colors NOT what you receive. You'll only receive one toy. Now that I clarified that, let's talk about why I rated this little doo-hickey 5 stars! Meet Rascal- my 70 pound hyper big black dog that can out squeak any squeaker in about an hour. He can tear through any toy in a few minutes. He's torn apart plywood dog houses in a week or two. He's torn apart our couch cushions in an afternoon (oh trust me- we were so happy about that). Needless to say this pup with wolf-sized jaws can destroy anything. Or so we thought- until we bought this small, yet indestructible toy. This goofy little toy is a rubber chicken- sort of. It's a round rubber ball with a chicken head. Mine was yellow- and came exactly as pictured. It's about the size of a softball, and about as durable as a softball as well. The squeaker in mine did not work, and never has worked. Sometimes if you squeeze it really hard you will get a very low, muffled, half-witted squeak out of it. 99% of the time it's silent. Which actually is kind of nice, considering it's become Rascal's favorite toy- so I'm sort of thankful it doesn't squeak constantly around the house. Rascal got this toy for Christmas (about a week and a half ago) and hasn't put it down since. He takes it with him when he plays outside. He brings it in. He plays fetch with it, sleeps with it, eats with it, and gets pretty dang mad if one of the other dogs comes within a foot of it. In other words- he loves it. He loves this toy. And I love the fact that it is showing NO signs of wear, even after a week and a half of CONSTANT chewing. Amazing! This cheap little knick-knack (that I was sure would be destroyed in an hour) has held up longer than our MUCH more expensive dog toys! It floats- so it can be thrown into water. It's been taken outside in our COLD Alaskan winters and hasn't had the rubber crack or get hard and breakable in the snow. The smoothe surface is easy to keep clean and can easily be wiped down with a wet cloth regularly. Just- wow. I am IMPRESSED with this little chicken. I don't usually write this excitedly about cheap little purchases, but I'm super happy with this one. Highly recommend to all big dog owners out there!

Will last a year or more of daily abuse
These are awesome. We have an animal sanctuary and several dogs love to fetch. So we throw the chicken every afternoon. We have a mini aussie that goes nuts for it too. I do cut out the squeaker w a knife upon arrival as I do with all squeaky toys, these squeakers are a choking hazard, as are all squeakers, they also ramp up the prey drive in dogs. I wish toy makers would give up squeakers. This toy is extremely durable and lasts about a year of daily abuse. I highly recommend.

Puppy love But Not for Bullies
I don’t want to give this a bad review because my puppy loved his new toy. He was about to chew to the squeaker in maybe an hour. But I don’t remember reading that this toy was intended for bullies so I’m glad he had fun.

Love This Brand of Dog Toys!!
I bought this toy after buying one of their other products at a local pet store. The toy bought at the pet store is the only one my dog (a very aggressive chewer!!) , has not been able to tear apart. He was able to chew this chick's head off but it still squeaks and he LOVES it!!. I also bought the green ball (which he loves too). It is still in one piece too. I do not believe that there is a completely indestructible toy but this brand is the best I have found so far. My dog has torn through many toys very quickly. The toys from this brand so far are the only survivors. They may be a little battered but still mostly whole and functioning. The price is very reasonable too. I highly recommend this brand of dog toys!!!

Puppy Ripped it apart
My 10 year old heavy chewers had a Ruffian toy that he played with no problem. Our new puppy destroyed the squeaker. Ordered this ad the new puppy destroyed it in less than 30 seconds.

Our Dog Adores his chicken!!
We have a dog who absolutely adores, loves this toy more then anything. We had one, which he began carrying all over the place. So we purchased a second, and now he carries them BOTH everywhere! All i have to do is say, 'Bongo, where's your chicken??" and he will run get it from inside his crate (its his den, and he usually has one chicken hidden in the crate while the other he carries with him everywhere." He will only GIVE his chicken to his closest friends, ME, my Mom, and a few other people. If you need him to follow you, picking up his chicken is a sure fire way to get him to do so. This dog loves this toy so much, and its SPECIFIC to the chickens. He loves all rubbery toys, but the chicken is his... best friend, you might say. If you have a dog who is a little obsessive, chews but isn't an agressive-swallows-parts-off-of-toys type of chewer, this toy will likely bring LOADS of enjoyment to your dog. But like everyone has said, check any portruding parts, make sure to account for anything that is missing. If a foot is half-falling off, just cut it and throw the smaller bit in the trash. Make sure you watch your dog to ensure that they play with this, and ANY toy safely. Hope you enjoy this toy as much as Bongo :)

Dogs Love The Farting Chicken!
My dogs LOVE these chickens! We have two! I bought the Medium size one by mail thinking that was the size I already had, but no it was much smaller than the LARGE. For bigger dogs like Goldens [I have one] go for the LARGE size. I also have a Jack Russell terrorist and at 16 pounds he plays very well with the larger chicken toy! The first toy is over a year old, I bought the second one because I heard they are discontinued... the ghost is in now! I don't suppose that makes much difference to the dogs... then again they are not buying the toy! :-D We also have a JR Ruffians Bowling Pin... its over 2 years old and besides the dog who are both rough, the golden chews handles off the jolly ball and other toys - the Ruffian toys have been run over by the truck a few times....hit with the 6.5hp lawn mower which necessitated my using long nose pliers to fish the squeaker out from the inside and seating it in place again! It works great again and I should mention... the bowling pin and chicken do not squeak - they FART and the dogs LOVE IT!!!! All their other toys squeak, these are different! BTW the ghost, it squeaks... they don't play with it as much!

Our dogs' favourite toy
I saw the Westie owner's review of one star saying it didn't last 45 minutes, that the comb was shredded. This is not a chew toy. One word...supervision! I have a 33kg Weimaraner and 26kg Lab and they LOVE this toy. It is their favourite so it has been well tested. It has lasted even through tugging, which, other toys, even some Kongs, cannot withstand. The squeaker is ***still*** working. It does make many different sounds, as well as a popping type feel when squeezed, which heightens the dogs' interest. I am definitely buying again and will be trying some of the older similarly styled toys from this range. I spend a lot of money on toys for my dogs and I am so pleased I have found a squeaky toy that can stand up to two large dogs for a reasonable period of time. Again, the key word here is supervision. This toy is not indestructible but it is very robust.

Not as good as hoped.
I bout this as the Cuz toys had lasted so long. I went for a design with not many 'extra' bits on as my Tibetan Terrier tends to chew them off - I had to cut off the feet of the Cuz toys. Unfortunately she'd taken off the beak and the 'wattle' before I could take the toy off her. The body is still more or less intact but now I am concerned she'll chew off the head or the drumsticks, so I daren't give it back to her. She's a relatively small dog but to be fair, she does like to chew and rip up toys, hence 3 stars..

Squeaky chicken dog toy
The most brilliant toy I have ever bought for my dog! Every other squeaky toy he's had - gone in 60 seconds! It seems as though the surface is so slippy his teeth slide off it and he just can't get his fangs into it. Endless hours of fun since I bought it, still in one piece, and better than a ball because it doesn't roll away out of sight. Excellent value for money. I want to get the bear.

Does your dog like rubber?
It has lasted well, but mainly because the dog clearly doesn't like the taste of this rubber so has left it alone. On the very rare occasion she has spent time chewing (on the beak - the only bit she seems interested in) I've noticed that some red dye seems to have leached into her spit. So not for white carpets.

Complete waste of money
I spent ages trawling the internet looking for a squeaky toy my dog wouldn't destroy in three seconds. The write up for this made it sound like it was tough and would withstand my basset hound's jaws for a while ( his mission in life is to remove the squeak from toys) Expensive compared to other toys. He destroyed it in ten minutes. Complete waste of money. It didn't last any longer than the toys from the pound shop plus lots of broken up hard bits came out if the middle. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.
