Great look and decent quality for the price. Includes everything you need

Overall, the costume is worth how much I paid. I would have bought it again if I had to do it all over. Losts of smiles and compliments. Pros: * Good looking costume. Many compliments * The jacket, vest, and sash worked very well together. Fit was good * Epaulets and medals were a nice touch as well * Includes everything you need for your costume Cons: * Pants have no pockets - what do you do with your keys, phone, and wallet. I wore same color Dockers instead, and it worked out fine * Hat does not have good form, even with ironing - it's made from a soft felt. They did not put enough attention to what it should look like. And it's brown instead of black. I recommend buying one yourself to go along with the costume * Boot "covers" were pretty chintzy. On the bright side, they did hold up for the one night, and worked with my dress boots * Epaulets are held on by 2 tiny, weak Velcro strips for each one - I used 2 safety pins on each one as I didn't want them falling off all the time. However, the velcro on the jacket was well done I'm not sure how many wearings you can get on the boot covers or the hat. Everything else is decent for what you pay for it. If you want the Napoleonic look for your party, go for it!

Great Costume

It was my first time ordering a costume and I was not sure what to expect... I am not disappointed. I wore it all day (no tear). With some makeup and a bit of gel to round a lock of my hair just beneath the hat, it did exactly what I had hoped for: My students loved it ! It was a great add on to my lesson. I am 5.4 and a man small size for good for me (a female).

"x% said it fit like expected" is misleading but I still recommend it

It was neither too large nor too small, it just doesn't *fit* like it seems to fit in the product picture. It's costume quality material (think kid's superhero costume material) so it has very little rigidity and as a result it kind of fits like a potato sack. If you just want to recognizably be someone representing Napoleon, it's fine, but if you want it to fit like it looks like it's going to fit in that picture, it's not going to do that out of the box. My advice: go get a cheap blazer that fits you well from a secondhand store for a few bucks, pull the jacket over that, safety pin it in a few places to keep it taut over the blazer, cut off the excess of the blazer and you'll look 10000% better. Buy some well-fitting off-white pants, too--the pants are really baggy. Overall I was extremely happy with the costume I ended up with--it just took a bit of extra work and a few extra bucks. But I totally found it to be worth the money and I doubt one could do much better for a place to start than this.

Great costume!!!

I love this costume. I’m female 5’3” 152 lbs. and a bit chesty! I apparently accidentally order a large but it fits perfect! A bit large in the shoulders for me but it will be hilarious adding the epilettes too! As others have noted the hat is not good. Especially with my small head but frankly I can’t see how it would work on a man’s head either. I’ll go look for another hat but other than that this is perfect for my party!

Pretty great!

My husband ended up wearing his own khakis and not wearing the hat. I gave the rest of the pieces a good pressing and it looked great. He was comfortable too!

Great buy, hat is awful.

Great value for the money. The hat was pretty awful so I would suggest you purchase something separate but overall it was a great buy and we received a ton of compliments

Facing my Waterloo but I won :-D

I'm a World History teacher trying to conquer the world (or at least my children's hearts and minds, and since I'm not French (I'm Belgian) it won't end like Vietnam or Waterloo). I competed strongly in a costume contest for Halloween, and I have confidence it will impress my students, helping insure they learn what they must. Everyone could tell who I was and they complimented me on how it looked. So all in all, definite recommendation; it delivered what I hoped for.
