Good quality and seems durable, a little too big for what it is
The plastic seems very strong and so does the string, the thing itself is a little bigger than I'd like but no big deal, the clip is quite rough on your belt so no pretty belts with this guy.

Just replaced the one I bought 5 years ago ... nothing wrong with it, still works great... I've tried others, NOTHING Beats this quality and price point --- bought it again because my 5 year old one i use it commercially and the case got paint and glue on it from a construction job

Wonderful key keeper (just not for me)
It was wonderful when I had 4 to 5 keys on the ring. Any more than that, especially if I turn suddenly when walking, the mass of the keys would pull the cord out a bit. Besides that, everything about the key keeper was great. I liked how even when clipped to my belt, it could rotate so the the hole where the cord was coming from would face the direction I was pulling. The clip held the keeper securely to my belt. The cord itself was strong and resistant to fraying. I had a plastic coated braided steel cord one before, but it frayed beyond use after a few weeks. This one was going strong without any signs of failure for the 6 months of constant use. As I got more responsibilities at work, I was give more keys and had to buy the version with more tension (13oz) on the cord. This one has 6oz pull tension.

Still going strong but squeaks now...
Great product. I've had it for over a year now and it still functions fine. I haven't had any problems with the clip staying on, but I do wear a thicker than normal leather belt. The -1 star is because the pull isn't as smooth as it used to be and makes a rather loud squeaking noise when pulling it out and back in. I don't let it just let it go when I have it pulled out, I let it reel back in some before letting go of my ID card. The cord is a true 3 feet long as seen in the picture. I have a badge holder strap hooked onto the key ring of the key-bak.Clear Plastic Badge Holder Snap Strap I also have my office key on the key ring. Can sometimes make it a little difficult with unlocking the door because the pull can make it annoying while trying to align the key when unlocking the door. Sometimes it will totally come out of your hand if you don't hold it tight. Overall a good devise and I would get again if it were to break.

Buy this now, and save headaches from the competition
I have had numerous key rings and retractable key/badge holders over the years. I have also broken plenty of them. I am so glad I got this one, and wish I would have bought it instead of the competition years ago. The retraction is great even for the amount of keys I have on it. I am impressed with how well it has held up to daily use and shows no signs of stopping. My other units would have given up in the same amount of time. I highly recommend this. You won't be disappointed.

Unreliable belt clip
The beltclip is not reliable. It does not hold on my belt securely.

I remember when i was a little tot, my dad had this cool little thing that held his keys(he had many keys) & as a little tot, I was able to pull on this contraption & play with keys, while he knew where they were. Fantastic item. Years later, I have many keys so i found the same one he used. Well i actually had the same one he used all those years, however the silver chain no longer retracted. BUMMER!!! I again relied on the A, & found several variations to t,he "original" I bought one that, unfortune stopped retracting almost immediately. The seller refunded immediately, & I bought the same again & havn't looked back. Works great!!!

Holds up to 10 or so keys before it sags, quite strong, very small
I used to use a little hook on the side of my belt or backpack for the longest time but after getting one of these it's really made my life much easier, you just hook it onto whatever you're wearing for that day, jeans, pants, even shorts and when you need it just tug on it. I can typically use it with one hand but occasionally if I'm wearing sweats or something I grab the key with one hand and secure the key-bak with my other hand so it doesn't fling off my pants. Other than that it's such a useful little tool. Highly recommend the higher end, more industrial size key-bak's as well if you work in security or something but for everyday use of your house key(s), mailbox key, car key, etc it works just fine. Edit (11/07/21): The little plastic piece that holds the whole thing thing together (where the keyring is) just crumbled today, didn't drop it or anything but I'm sure after 2+ years of usage it has seen it's fair share of wear and tear. I'll be ordering another one soon.

Good buy
This is a robust device and works well. There is a strong clip to attach to the belt and the black reel swivels 360 degrees. I had previously tried one of the shiny ones you can buy on the high street at key cutting shops which fell apart after only a few weeks. It was a similar price but rubbish quality.

Sturdy and stays put.
I've had work provide the clips before and simply couldn't stand them as they always broke or simply didn't hold on to my pants and fell with my employee cards. I was always worried about dropping them. I finally went ahead and got me this little gem and couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. This thing is sturdy, holds tight and stays put all day, wherever you attach it, and has a very efficient elastic. It even rotates on itself so your card, keys, or whatever is hooked on can be pulled in any direction you want. Delivery was fast.

Strong and secure
Strong and excellently built. I have owed this for a while now and use it on a daily basis. Securely sits on my belt and is firm when retracting. The 360 degree swivel helps a lot as it takes the strain off the cord. Highly recommend this !
