A Great Set (just not as advertised)

I really like this set (even though they are not directly interchangeable with TinkerToys). The only issue I really have with them is that the package came with different pieces than advertised. Instead of connector rods, we got five end caps, which are okay, but not connector rods. I plan on contacting the company in the morning and will update this review (if possible) with their resolution to this issue.

Must know how to use these since there is no set of instructions.

The price was a few dollars less than the actual store I went to to purchase my first set. As for the product, I would have liked to see an instruction booklet with ideas for the kids to understand how they worked. Some of the pieces probably were designed to make the item you built roll, but I wasn’t sure how or which pieces did that. My son was going to google the product for information. Shouldn’t have to do that!

Best Tinker Toy Set

This set of tinker toys by Schylling is very high quality. I purchased for my 2 year old. However, my 2 year old and 6 year old played together with these toys so much I considered buying two sets so they would have more pieces to play with. The pieces are larger / more durable than the pieces we had from a Tinker Toy set I played with as a child. Some of the pieces broke in my childhood set but these are thicker / stronger. The case that these came in is very sturdy and will hold up to many years of play - much better than the cardboard boxes that other sets come with. The pieces fit together well but are not difficult to disconnect. My 2 year old and 6 year old both play with them with ease and do not get frustrated. There are 70 pieces in this set and it would likely be helpful to have more than one set if you have two children playing together so there are more pieces. Overall, very high quality set - no surprise from a company like Schylling.

Costructions

I bought this for my two and a half year old grandson. He makes bonfires with his friends but great constructions with his Dad. Excellent for a child who loves picking up sticks on walks and pushing them into every available niche possible.
