They should provide an installation guide
The black part should be remained on the machine, not on the hose. Pulling the white plastic filter at the machine side out is actually the correct operation. Installing the black part on the hose can work, but will not yield a perfect result.

Solved the leaky issue I had with the original hose connector
The hose connector that came with my Sun Joe power washer was cheap plastic and I could never get it to stop leaking. This Quick-Connect kit solved the issue nicely. I think the power washer should have come with these connectors in the first place as I hear may people complaining about their's leaking.

Excellent quality
I bought a sunjoe power washer and returned it because it was bad quality and I couldn't find quick connector to sonnet the hose and wand. So I returned it but I found that these connectors work excellent on my adams and even my ryobi power washers. Highly recommend these

I think most people are installing this incorrectly
I've read a lot of poor reviews for this quick-connect because people are saying they have to pull the white plastic filter out of their SunJoe. This should not be necessary because the female part (the the black plastic) goes on your hose, not the JunJoe. The male (all brass) part goes on the SunJoe. The kit also comes with an adapter for your other hose accessories - so they can be easily swapped. This also prevents the hose from spraying when the quick disconnect is not engaged with anything. A MUST Have!
Fantastic add-on to my Sun Joe pressure washer. The most bothersome step in using the Sun Joe is affixing the hose. Screwing in the hose at an awkward position and trying to make sure you have a sufficient seal to prevent leaks was a pain. This simple two-part fitting enables a water-tight quick snap hose conection. I had to use Lime Away to loosen to the internal plastic filter before I could install the pressure washer potions of the device.

SPX-UQC3K adapter has wrong threads!
Well, I'm on the fence about this purchase. To be fair, I'll say that this is a solid machined brass adapter (SPX-UQC3K). The issues I have with it are: (1) There are no instructions or simple diagram showing how to install it. If none were needed, there wouldn't be so many leaky complaints. (2) This is advertised to fit the SunJoe SPX series pressure washers. Ok, so my SPX3000 has a water inlet fitting sized 3-4 pipe thread (NPS, not NPT) with 14 threads per inch. This SPX-UQC3K adapter is machined with 3-4 Garden Hose Thread (GHT) at 11.5 threads per inch. THE THREADS DON'T MATCH! Well, the Q&A clearly states that this can be used in place of the OEM aluminum adapter, and sure enough it does screw on. So, what's the problem? THE THREADS DON'T MATCH! At some point either the adapter threads or the pressure washer threads will strip, leaving you with a permanent leak. Come on SunJoe..... fix this!!! UPDATE: Even with correctly assembling this between pressure washer and hose, mine simply will not seal. This isn't just a minor leak, but rather gushes out. There is nothing cracked or broken, simply a disappointing design that fails to perform. I'm returning it as defective.

Works Great
The fitting is an excellent method of attaching your water hose, upon reading other reviews many are not attaching it correctly. The black plastic fitting goes onto your hose.

Works! No leaks if installed correctly
These do what they're supposed to. Not much else to say. If they leak tighten up the connection with pump pliers and you should be good to go.

Improved Design
No issues with the installation on the pressure washer. Did not have to change or modify anything. Have not had a chance to use it yet, but will once the weather warms up.

This does not work!!
Leaks, no matter how tight it's put on. And it leaks a lot. Very disappointed. Waste of time and money.
