I have actually received 8 pairs from this line of sunglasses, so my reviews will be very similar for the plastic styles and the same for the wire style with the addition of specific details for each style. As an Amazon Vine member I can order products at no, or little cost for evaluation and review. I say that in case you're wondering why I would get 8 pairs of $40 glasses that I thought were average or below average; it's because they didn't cost me very much. I have many pairs of sunglasses (we live in AZ where the sun burns out your eyeballs or something like that) and most are "quality pairs". A "quality" pair of sunglasses for me must have all or at least most of the following criteria: 1) A real glass lens or at least polycarbonate. These have plastic lenses, they'll be scratched up soon enough and they aren't the best optically. 2) Spring hinges. This is a minor cost, many very cheap sunglasses have them now and it makes them more comfortable and less likely to break. 3) UV protection coated lenses so that the sun doesn't blind me, these Foster Grant sunglasses do have that benefit. 4) A comfortable nose bridge, preferably not adjustable. I've found over the years that adjustable nose pieces tend to move and get uncomfortable after a while, whereas the molded-in plastic nose bridge is smoother and more comfortable. That's just me and my shaped face perhaps. The nose bridge on this pair seems to be more comfortable to me than other wireframes in this Sun Luv collection and better than many wireframe glasses in general. 5) Polarization is nice when needed, it's not always needed and sometimes gets in the way. These are not polarized. 6) Style. Almost all of the Foster Grant Sun Luv series is fashionable looks cool and looks like expensive sunglasses. Where most of this collection fails, in my opinion, is the cheapness of the plastic and hinges. This particular style, however, does not suffer from the plastic issue, especially since they are wire framed, as some of the other styles do. The metal arms and frame (the frame is hidden by the lenses except for the nose bridge) are stiffer than some of the other styles in the Sun Luv collection, and they feel better made and more secure than some of the other wireframe styles. So why 4 stars? Because they look good, they have a UV coating which is very important and I need sunglasses to be everywhere I am, and I often forget. And this style does not suffer the squeaky cheap plastic feel or loose arms and uncomfortable nose pieces on the wireframes of some of the other styles in the Sun Luv line. Each pair that I have worn so far, has elicited good comments from friends (with one exception, but it just didn't work with my face shape, not the fault of the sunglasses.) While some styles are listed as "round" these are pretty much round. I also like that the outer diameter of the lens covers the wireframe. While they are blue on the outer lens, looking through them will give you more of a slight reddish hue. If you know what you're getting, you won't be disappointed and I pretty much guarantee you'll look good and get positive comments.
