You literally need these to play and enjoy the game. It's a really good RPG system too, so I recommend trying it.

L5R Rules

These dice are great and you can’t play L5R without them! I use these dice while I play L5R on an actual play podcast called Podcast of the Five Rings. If you want to hear me roll these dice, go give it a listen!

This dice set is used for the 5th edition of L5R.

This dice set comes with 5 six-sided dice and 5 twelve-sided dice. For those who find the price too high, there is an app made by the publisher. If one prefers to use his/her own dice instead, the 5th edition core rulebook provides a table on page 25 matching the numbers to the symbols . Dice symbols are explained on page 21 in the same book. I have yet to see any defects on the dice.

10-pack of Dice missing 2 Dice

It's nice that it arrived earlier than shipping anticipated. And they are nice-looking dice. But the package was missing two dice. I checked the shipping box it came in thoroughly, just in case they just slipped out inside, during shipping. Nope. How do I get a replacement set of dice?

Bought for my husband with the book so he could learn to play. Seem sturdy

Not very well made.

The dice are dark, and the red on black is too dark for normal play without a sun lamp for lighting. Painted them with a white, didn't like it so I used alcohol to remove the acrylic paint and it melted the surface of the dice... all of them. Not at all worth the money, but you can't get them anywhere else, so your stuck.

The white dice have a slight yellow stain, but these are otherwise fine.
