Great pipe cutter

Still has the Lowe's price tag on the already opened package. The cutter fell out of the package when I pulled it out of the paper shipping bag. The blade appeared unused and worked correctly when I made a test cut so I will probably keep it since I need it.

Incredibly Useful

If you have ever needed to cut copper or plastic pipe in a tight space, there in NO substitute for this cutter. None!!!

Good pipe cutter

This small tubing/pipe cutter is great for small spaces and also cuts quickly and simply. Just follow the direction arrow for correct cutting direction.

Not for pex

I bought this specifically to use to cut off a couple pvc tubing pipes in my wall that go to my bathtub faucets. I wanted to add in a shut off on each line but I didn't want to cut an access panel below the access panel already on the wall. I just wanted to be able to slide on the shut offs down below the access panel. I decided to try this cutter right out of the just opened package on some 1/2" pex I had in a roll. I attached this easily but after about 40 turns (or more) it was unable to cut through the tubing. There's an arrow on the cutter that tells you which direction to turn it. I can't tell you if it's sharp enough to cut through copper tubing which this tool is basically for. It is quite heavy and well built. Just the name "Lennox" makes it a quality product.

Great Little Tool!

Ordered this to repair a copper pipe that had started leaking at an elbow below the ceiling in my basement. The part of the pipe I needed a straight cut on was up inside a wall. Tried a couple of different tools from the local hardware store but they had to be tightened by a wheel after you got them on the pipe. Not enough room to work with in this case. So I ordered this one and it made the whole thing a snap. Put it on the pipe and turned it a few times. The cut off part dropped down out of the hole and left a very straight edge with very little burring. Snapped on a sharkbite fitting it it was done!

Made for thinner walled newer 1/2" pipes; may need to finish cut.

Not good for older 1/2" pipe, those pipes were made with thicker walls. This cutter penetrated only half way. Much better in this care to get the adjustable cutters, pay the extra $20. Because maybe your building or home is 20+ years old, or let's say you purchase copper piping and who knows, the manufacturer tolerences are a tiny bit different than you expect...(always!). Otherwise, nice and compact and should work on home depot quality copper tap water pipes.

Could of bought it cheaper at Home depot.

I did not see that if was also sold at Home depot before ordering from Amazon. Could of bought the same thing from Home depot at a cheaper price otherwise it works with no problems.

Solid and small

This works much better than the Husky one that I previously had from HomeDepot. Feels more solid, and just tight enough to cut easily.

Simple and did its job

If you just need something simple for your home DIY project like upgrading your kitchen sink, this is perfect. Simple and effective to use. Inserted the copper tube rotated twice and the cut is perfectly clean
