I wish I would have bought this sooner

I kept thinking "I need to buy a plug wrench" every time I went out in the boat, but never ordered it. I just used a rusty old pair of pliers on the plug. However, eventually I ground away the brass plug into a round slug. Plus the rusty pliers stained my cubby. This tool is highly visible and does not rust. The spare plug is a nice touch. Instead of buying a new plug I just put my old plug in the wrench and used the new plug from this tool. A quality tool. I've really reefed on it and it has not broken. If it ever breaks I will update my review.

Exactly what I needed

I had tried several other drain plug wrenches. This one was simple, easy to use, and a great price. Looks like it will hold up to the random use that I need. Even comes with a spare plug!

The wrench is useless if your plug is more than hand tight. Nice spare plug and spanner but not a great combination tool. I bought two of these, spend more and get something better.

One time use, then straight into the trash!

As others have noted, this wrench isn’t built to last or even function more than a nominal use. I figured all the negative reviews were jaded, and I’d have better luck with it and I purchased it despite my concerns. I used it once to install my plug, then the tool broke the very next week when I used it to uninstall the exact same plug. The net-net is this - it’s a cheap plastic wrench. It won’t last. I’ll just head to the local home store and buy a spare 1/2” wrench which won’t break for half the price of this one. Don’t waste your time.

Throw that crescent wrench back in the toolbox.

This little tool took me way too many years to find. If you have a boat with a drain plug, get one. Handy built-in to the handle spare plug sealed the deal.
