For the price, this jacket is very good. It is pretty basic, just two exterior pockets. It is light, warm, and very comfortable. I am 5' 10", 210 lbs, with a fit build, but not perfect build. I have a 48 chest and big arms, so I ordered the XL size. It gives me enough room to wear my fleece under the jacket for colder days. I could have probably ordered the Large, but it would have been a bit tight if I ever wanted to wear a fleece under it. I am very pleased with this jacket, good quality and great price. I must say, I have been ordering items from Amazon regularly and never had a problem. With this order, the first shipment of this item was not in the locker. I received a code, when the locker opened up, it was empty. However, two phone calls later and Amazon customer service did re-ship a replacement right away. I am very pleased with their customer service response and I would like to thank them for their fast and courteous service. Update, I love this jacket. Used it in 20 degree weather on a windy day and kept me nice and warm. Awesome. Light yet very warm.

The ultimate weapon against dog hair and the cold!
I was looking for a different coat this winter to combat the constant dog hair that plagued my wool coat. Obviously my foremost concern was being warm enough. I have always worn and extra-large code even though I can fit in a large shirt. Naturally I ordered an extra large. On the coat arrived I was excited but tried it on and I was swimming in it. It was way larger than I expected. I returned it and re-ordered a large, it was the perfect fit. This coat is very warm and can stand up to a Chicago winter. If I put it on to early before I'm out the door I feel like I'm gonna break out into a sweat. I do have to add that I usually had something on underneath when it was below 15°. Usually a hoodie, because I would end up a bit cold. The material is soft and durable. It's surprisingly not very thick yet still warm. Most importantly, it stays pretty clean and dog hair free.

Fit as expected / A little sparse on the fill
Have been looking for a warm coat for winter and decided to order this one based on research and reviews on here. First, I am 6' tall, 190#s, 34" waist with an athletic build (I wear a 44-46 athletic cut sport coar for reference). The fit of this coat is fine considering that I will probabaly be layering a sweathshirt or sweater underneath. Is is NOT as form fitting (tight around body) ss something like a North Face puffy jacket. Then again, those are more than twice the price and down filled. . There is a drawstring around the bottom to tighten. The length is about halfway down jeans back pocket. I was surprised that the fill is pretty sparse and doesn't really provide a lot of "fluff", but overall I am happy with the jacket. Did well in the 12f weather here today. Hope my "fit" description helps. Always a challenge for me ordering stuff without trying on first. Of course, Amazon prime 2 day shipping was right on time.

Awesome jacket that was a must for me in black. Combined it with a matching color Columbia fleece. I'm 6 feet tall and around 168 pounds and having read all the reviews here how you should go and buy a size smaller because they tend to go bigger than usual, I went with buying a Medium (M) at first and I was wrong. It was sort of a perfect/slim fit, but I don't like to have room for just one T-shirt underneath - it just felt too snug. So I bought a Large (L) instead - the size that I usually buy and wear and it was perfect. The jacket is warm but at the same time very light and the price is hard to beat. The design is simple and clean and the jacket looks really eyecatching in black. A big thank you to Amazon and Columbia - you guys are amazing and I hope I helped someone with the review.

excellent cold weather jacket
Love this winter jacket. Very warm and comfortable. I've been wearing it in low 30 degree weather with just a T shirt underneath and I feel very warm and cozy. Took one star off because inside pockets do not have a button or zipper to keep things from falling out. The outside pockets do have zippers on them, so it depends on how much stuff you're carrying. I ordered an XL in case I ever needed to layer a heavy sweatshirt inside, but a large would've worked too. I'm 5'10" 215lbs for reference.

I love this jacket.
I'm absolutely thrilled with my size medium jacket. I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs. With all the talk about the jacket running large I thought I might have to exchange it for the small. No, it fits perfectly for me. With elastic cuffs and bottom and a collar that zips all the way up to the chin, I should be good for the remainder of the NYC winter. Two big soft front hand-warmer pockets are positioned perfectly. Inside are four non-zippered pockets. The zipper is plastic and smooth. No problem starting it at the bottom. The jacket is stretchable when you wear it so it's very comfortable. I only wore it briefly at 35 degrees and when I started to walk briskly I got hot. I can't wait 'till tomorrow and I hope it's cold.

Good quality
Great jacket for late fall I don't think it will be warm enough to be used in winters. The size was a little larger than I expected but it still looks good and now I have room for sweaters underneath.
