Loves this brand

I have worn this brand for almost 20 years and love it. Now getting them online is cheaper and they are perfect since i already know the brand and model so figuring out size fitness was not an issue.

My 3rd pair

I am a long term user of the Mizuno Skywave Horizon series. I had the wave 3 and 4. The wave 5 doesn't really change the formula but as they say "if it's not broken don't try and fix it". The only reason I had to give it 4 stars is because these are relatively heavy. I do a lot of weighted long distance running however so I appreciate a more stable and robust sneaker for that. The more airy, lightweight options don't seem to handle it well. All in all a very versitale and solid performer. These sneakers also have consistently provided support longer than any other I have worn to include, Asics, Hoka, Solomon, Nike.

Great looks!

First time I wear the horizon series. Great looking sneaker! Not as comfortable as the wave rider, which I have owned since the 20 version. Wish Mizuno made these sneakers with a dark sole version. I have seen one version with dark soles but only for women. Nike, NB, Brooks, etc. All have dark versions. I don't understand why Mizuno don't. Is it too small of a company? If anybody knows of a dark version, please let me know.

This is my second pair of this model Excellent sneaker

I have feet issues so finding a great sneaker to wear is sometimes challenging but this is one a few brands that I truly love. They fit well and are the right size. Colors are sometimes not the best but I like these and that is why I bought them again. Last year is when this current model came out as an update and thought I would try them out and have been very happy with them. Again this is a great product and I just use them for walking.

My favorite long distance run shoes

My favorite long distance run shoes are Mizuno. They are very comfortable and a great options for runners who need a stability shoe. They fit as expected.

Wave Horizon 5 are just ok

I was introduced to Mizuno with the Wave Horizon 3 shoes. They were excellent! I transitioned to the Wave 4 and now Wave 5. The Wave 5 will be my last pair of Mizunos. Much of the prior Wave 3’s stability is gone, and for comparison, I pulled out my old Wave 3’s and tried them on again, and instantly felt the difference (and what was glaringly missing from the Wave 5’s). Since owning these Wave 5’s, I have begun dealing with IT band knee issues, and attribute this to my ankle having less stability from the change in shoe design. I tried shoe inserts and individual arch supports and the latter helped. Perhaps one day Mizuno will listen to the fan base and revive the prior Wave 3 technology. Until then, adios.

Super comfortable and supportive

I had a pair of Adidas Ultraboost about to weary out, and decide to give Horizon a try...it's so supportive to especially the arch of feet.
