Phenominal pants for the price!

I love these convertible pants by Columbia. I usually like to wear the Columbia line clothing but this is the first time I have tried their pants. These things are great! At first, I was concerned they would rip or tear due to the feeling of the material but they have stood up to everything I have put them through! I have even gone into the water with these and they dry extremely fast! I hike a lot and so I purchased several pairs of these since they were remarkably priced (around $10.00 a pair) and I will tell you this now with confidence. You will not find any pair of hiking (or any type pants) better than these at this price! I don't know if I would pay the marked price of $60.00 but then again, I wouldn't spend that much on any pair of pants! I am a thrifty shopper and don't have a problem with it! These are extremely comfortable. Sometimes I feel like I'm not wearing any pants. Basically, these feel like they are made of the same material that shoots are made of for parashoots. I haven't taken the legs off yet but I have tested the zipper and it seems smooth and easy to use. These also have a belt that comes with it which is a nice extra. Its not a phenomenal belt but its decent. It does what its supposed to do and that's hold your pants up. Overall, I highly recommend these! Especially if your able to get it at a great price like I did. I even ordered some more since they were phenomenally priced!

Like the materials but not the designed for the two front & two back pockets.

I like this pant materials since it is light and also smooth where I have selected the black color. Got an amazing deal from Amazon.com. The design and cutting for this Stretch type convertible pant are similar to the normal Silver Ridge convertible pant, except the two front and two back pockets on this Stretch type convertible pant. These two front packets are designed like most jean pockets with opening from the top but I prefer the side opening front pockets designed on the normal Silver Ridge convertible pant. The two back pockets are without any flap closure and the normal Silver Ridge convertible pant back pockets have this flap closure, for better security. This is the reason why i give this pant 4 stars for comfort. This is my 1st time I had ordered a Silver Ridge Stretch convertible pant as I already have few pairs of the normal Silver Ridge convertible pants. In future I will order the normal Silver Ridge convertible pant due to the design on the two front and two back pockets.

The best hiking pants!

I bought this for my September Yosemite trip and I loved it. It is very lightweight, I actually read the reviews and bought an inch larger than my size since I am a petite guy with big thighs and it perfectly fits. People were complaining of the pant's crotch area but I never had any problem on that. I used this pants as a shorts and it withstood my almost 2 weeks trip of hiking. What I like about it the most was when I was in Panorama Trail and when I reached the falls, I jumped into the water without thinking that I am gonna be soaked for hours. I bought this because I am the type of person who likes jumping into the lakes and other bodies of water while hiking and of course I don't want to bring too much extra clothes. So, as what I've said maybe 30min of hiking after soaking, pants started to dry and it was awesome. The material is breathable, the temp was 100s that time and it is comfortable to wear. I highly recommend this.

FEATHERWEIGHT and VERSITILE

I listened to other reviewers who said they run a little tight around the crotch so I ordered them a size bigger in the waist. I normally wear 34 in columbia pants and shorts but purchased these in 36 and am glad I did they are big enough I have to wear a belt but they fit great and have freedom of movement. The 34 lenght is a touch longer than normal for me but over all I love these pants. They shed water very well seem to breath good and are just super lightwight lighter than I thought they would be and I have 3 other types of columbia zip offs. You can get great deals on these if you are not picky on colors. Do not pay 70$ these are great pants especially if you get a deal. Got brown and blue for under 20$ each. Columbia has great quality and the zippers and hardware on these are nop notch. Bottom line I could wear these to a work meeting and zip them off and hit the river on the way home.

Columbia convertible pants.

Got these for the unreal price of eight dollars, due to size and color combination (after buying 2 they went up). ???? I’d pay 3x that, but not 9(retail)! Zippers work well. True to size. They are light and comfortable. Make a nylon shweech sound when walking, so not stealthy. Black looks nice and even looks ok with a sport coat. Columbia make good outdoor gear, in general.

Awesome in the cold!

I got these for a Christmas trip to Zion, and they were awesome! I forgot to bring my base layer and was worried I would get cold (Temp was between 15-36 over my trip). But, they have this web-like lining that is almost like fleece, it wicks moisture, and you don't get cold, they worked perfectly. I don't think I would wear any base layer underneath them unless it was much colder. Really impressed! The best part is that you can wash them in your hotel shower, hang them to dry and by the next morning they are dry and ready to go!

Didn't last long

I purchased two pairs of these pants and I've liked them so far. But both right side back pockets have already started to rip. I have only had them for around a month in and half. Hopefully it's just a bad batch. I haven't talked to customer service about possible replacements yet.

Solid product

Worked well. Well made. I do have 2 suggestions. My the zipper longer vertically. It is so short that it is hard to remove your penis to urinate. Second, make the bottom of the legs wider so that you can remove the legs without taking off your shoes. I have some rain pants with a zipper at the bottom of the legs so that I can remove the pants without taking my shoes off.

Excelentes

Muy ligeros pero resistentes al viento, el agua y las manchas. Yo mido 1.80 y por descuido compré los pantalones largo 28. No está tan mal pero creo que si me quedarían mejor los 30. El material del que están hechos es muy cómodo y ligero. Son convertibles y si le quitas las piernas queda más como Bermuda que como short, algo que me gustó mucho pues es más mi estilo. Esperé bastante tiempo pero los pude conseguir a un precio muy bajo, una fracción de lo que cuestan en tiendas (En tiendas los he visto en $2,500 y aquí me costaron $460)

Los materiales buenos pero no excelentes

Me quedaron largos, pero en buena parte es por mi complexión. El material se siente un poco rasposo al tacto y en un día de bastante exigencia se sienten un tanto incomodos. Para sentirse fresco están muy bien.
