Defective manufacturing

These shoes looked nice on the website but in my submitted photo you can see the defect. There's an odd wrinkle in the leather on the top of the shoe at the base of the strings. Something was seriously wrong with factory manufacturing. I took these shoes to a local shoe repair shop and he said they cannot be fixed. It's a shoddy product. I wanted to like these shoes but have grown to hate them. It's too much hassle to return them and I wouldn't even donate them to charity. I gave two stars because the concept is good but workmanship is poor. Stay away from these shoes unless you like factory irregulars sold to you as a quality product.

Great shoe for the money

Photograph is angled to be misleading.

I was looking for a replacement pair of dirty bucks in putty. Since Bass stopped making Weejuns, I should have expected Bucks in putty would be the next to go. I hit the web to see what I could find; It wasn't as easy as I thought. When I found the Deer Stags Men's Walkmaster Plain Toe Oxford in the sand, plus my size, without further checking, I ordered a pair. First, I never heard of the brand; I missed the description as nubuck (goat); it was called an oxford, Buck. When I received it, the color was okay, but the nubuck was horrible. The crepe sole is a bit thick, which causes it to lessen the heel definition, and I hadn't noticed the back around the heel was padded. Botton-line: OLD MAN SHOES Shoes are always a gamble buying online and made worse to unobservant shoppers not doing due diligence, The hunt continues...
