I’ve seen the KEEN brand before, and wanted to get these for my husband, because the pair of walking shoes he uses on his daily walks, already has a worn spot on his right heel the size of a golf ball. These are waterproof, which is perfect, in case he has to cross some puddles! Of course, the dog won’t care, but HE will. :) His socks and toes will stay dry with these great shoes. They are so well made, and they come with a black pair of extra laces, too. Nice surprise! I wondered if this size 12 would be the same as his other 12’s, because he couldn’t try them on, since they’re from Amazon. But I matched them up with the soles, and the size is the same. So glad! I recommend.???? UPDATE: The next day, my husband put these on and they fit perfectly. He went out for his walk, which turned into a long walk down the county road. I was surprised, because he hadn’t done that in months because of back pain. I knew right then, the shoes must have been the reason. He couldn’t stop talking about how good the shoes felt on his feet, which have some plantar faciitis. He said the toe box was roomy, but his foot didn’t slide around to cause blisters. His feet were well grounded with every step. He’s 82, and a Vietnam vet with arthritis and he’s 100% disabled. But he can walk. He also said the pain was so minimal going up an incline, he didn’t even think about it till he was almost at the top! He was delighted, and that says a LOT, because he is EXTREMELY particular, and a perfectionist. So, once again, I recommend these!????????
