nice span of colors

I'm using the paints for a variety of projects on wood, slate, metal, etc. I didn't notice they were matte finish and probably would have purchased them anyway. I'm learning a lot about working with different paint finishes. A good thing.

Great brand

One of my favorite brands of acrylic paint. I use it to make, mostly wood crafts, though I've used it on plaster, ceramic, terracotta and glass. Good pigment, easy to thin if needed.

Good coverage

I like to make sculptures and the coverage is quite good usually only needing 1-2 coats depending on the color (lighter colors might need an extra coat or two unless you prime your sculpture). Paint is nice and thick as well.

One paint came dried out

I used these on wood they worked great and sealed well with both hemp and tung oil. Other brands I have tried have not worked nearly as well. The one downside was one paint came dried out in the bottle.

Great gift

I got this for my best friend who loves art. I know I should have taken her to get something but between work and everything else I needed something quickly with our schedules. She doesn’t usually use this brand but she was thrilled to get it. She says I’d should be perfect for what she’s been wanting to do!

Experience helps with this

These 2oz bottles are a good price. The first few I opened were easy, and I was wondering why other reviewers had problems. Then I started finding bottles for which I needed a knife, not only to break loose the outer plastic seal, but also to carve away the inner seal. Some of the colors seemed a little lumpy, but I was too inexperienced with acrylics to know to shake, shake, shake, shake the bootle. Next time.

Very Vibrant but Rather Viscous

Every color is usable and vibrant but most of the bottles are either exceedingly thick and/or have large rubbery chunks in them. That being said, you can still use every color and comparing the price to the very few places within 30 miles of my home that sell art products, I still find great value in the product.

In love with this set

This is just a great set of water-based acrylic paints. THINGS I LIKE > The colours are beautiful and varied. Primary and secondary included. There is one pastel included, the Baby Pink, and it is just so pretty. > They're gouache-like, so you can use the pigment straight from the bottle or dilute it with water. > Good overall quality. > Quantity in each bottle is considerable. > The bottles have a sticker on the cap top showing the colour, which comes super handy when you have a lot of bottles and want to choose the colour rapidly. > Very good value for money, especially because if you were buying individual bottles/colours you'd be paying almost double the price. THINGS THAT CAN BE IMPROVED > The selection of blues. I missed a navy or dark blue. The two blues provided are too close in hue. > Ditto the browns. > Ditto the yellows. MIND Although these are sold as acrylics they are more like gouache.

Worth buying it.

No wonder folk art colors are nice. The best part is when u take some colors in the tray, even if it is acrylic it does not dries for a long time. You can take your time for painting with patience. The texture is smooth, the quality is awesome, like some other colors these colors are not at all itchy if stuck in nails while painting.
