Quality files with a good reputation

I purchased this set of files for general shop use. I have found that they are worthy of their reputation. I initially selected them as an alternative as I was unable to find a set manufactured in the U.S., which is important to me. So far they have performed well and I’m very satisfied with their performance. Sure, they cost a little more but you get what you pay for. So far, I’ve used them on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and some plastics to good effect. I like the handles. They are comfortable and provide the hand with adequate purchase for repetitive use. I think they are worth the price and are a good value for producing professional results.

Good value

Not labeled. You have to look at the pattern to decide how rough or smooth they are. I guess it is a European pattern, as they don't seem to match "bastard" or "smooth" patterns that I have seen. None seem to operate quite as aggressively as a flat bastard. They are of good quality, and have nice handles on every file (some sets have one handle that is shared). Overall, very nice quality for a lower than industry standard price. I would recommend this product.

Coarse

Good for stock removal. If you're the milling machine these will work great. A little too coarse to be of much use for finishing and they are all double cut so you can't draw file. Bit if you're looking for a set of coarse files these will be great.

Good files, good price, junk holder

I’ve used a couple of the files and they do the job. The price is right on this set. The vinyl holder is a complete piece of junk, though. If you’re going to be using these files on a regular basis the holder is going to start falling apart in a matter of weeks.

Quality product

Pay a bit more but get a much better product. Description adequate but pleasantly surprised. This kit should meet all usual needs of the homeowner garage workbench. Very well balanced and handles solid and firmly attached. Steel quality high and the file cuts even and deep. Should last a very long time and meet all filing tasks. Only downside is that I would pay extra for a better storage pouch. Cheap plastic that won't last long but will protect surfaces and edge until a replacement is found.

Good quality for the money

These are perfectly OK for normal use, may not be for industrial and hard materials. Very friendly and comfortable grip to work with. the soft pouch that comes with it is not so practical and useful. I bought these as a complement to my old files for the price was unbeatable. Good brand at the best price, recommended.
