Good for scout uniforms

Our scouting group's uniforms call for white ribbons to be sewed on to designate roles/responsibilities. The satin ribbon does not sew well/stay put, but this grosgrain ribbon is excellent for such purposes. Rugged too, so can take a snag on a branch, etc. and not tear off or rip. Very happy with this.

Used this for snare drum straps.

used a couple of strips of this to hold the snare wires on my snare drum. works like a charm. Like it better than the normal nylon strips because these are more flexible and don't hold the snares as close to the head when the snares are turned off

Great ribbon for the price

We used this for my kids 4h show for ribbons on there shirts worked great and easy to use

Stiff, not pliable

I thought that this would be a bit more more pliable and fabric like. I have other grossgrain ribbon like that so was surprised at how stiff /synthetic feeling this was, like what you would use to wrap presents. I only paid under $2 but now see the prices jumped. If you want to wrap presents with this or use it and some other craft capacity where it's glued down, I'm sure it's fine, but not great for sewing into loops.

I prefer cord to ribbon for snare drums.

I bought this ribbon andPearl SNC40/6 Snare Cord, 6 pack to compare on a snare drum. After installing and comparing both separately, I prefer the Pearl cord. I took off 1 star because the Pearl cord was easier to install and they both do the same thing, hold up the snare wire. And if you're wondering, there is no affect on the snare drums sound.
