Perfect. I love the "backward" spray design

So, my front yard Orbit sprinkler bit the dust. They last really great, but, nothing lasts fovever. As I was looking for a new one, I notices this striking design. Hey, why no go for a cool look??? Then I noticed several reviewers complained about the "backward" spray. Huh?? As soon as I read it, I realized this is exactly what I need for many sections of my yard. With the typical design, I have to work to get the hose and sprinkler lined up as close to the fence and or sidewalk in order to get the best spray. Well, the genius with this design is the water sprays towards the hose (talking about partial spray pattern here. So, when I water next to the sidewalk, I don't have to have the hose crossing the sidewalk, or harder yet, battling to get the sprinkler close to the fence when watering my trees with roots near the fence. I'm only on day one, but I know I like this feature, and the unit feels like it will last as well as my other similarly priced sprinklers (a few years). But, it does rotate smoother, so maybe it will last even longer!

Connections leak, shipped in an envelope

The unit was shipped in an envelope, no retail or other packaging, maybe the beginning of a problem. water input connection leaks a lot, tried a new washer, no use. Spray adjustment do not mesh well with the supply and are iradic. Unit has good weight to it, could appear to me a nice sprinkler. Was on hold with manufacture as Amazon suggested for over 25 minutes, not worth my time, just send back to Amazon.

Great Sprinkler, Good Pattern Options

I originally bought this Orbit pattern sprinkler many years ago from a brick-and-mortor store. I like the spray patterns that it offers, as I have a small yard and some tight and/or oddly shaped spaces to water. The only drawback is that it sprays back toward the hose connection, rather than away, so it's easy to spray yourself in the face. But, once you get used to that and remember which way to point the sprinkler, it's not an issue. Over the years, I tried several other pattern sprinklers (other brands), all more expensive, some in pretty colors, and they only lasted about a year each and didn't provide the same spray patterns as the Orbit model. After many years, the Orbit finally failed (think the rubber seal gave out). Amazon is the only place I could find what appears to be the same sprinkler. So far, it seems to be the same make as the old one and is working well.

Beware - you will get very wet using this sprinkler

While it works really well, and has lots of sprinkler head options, it is set up backwards. The water sprays toward the side where the hose is attached, which is the opposite of every other multi option sprinkler I have ever had. Awkward to use. But it does work, as long as you know which way the spray is going to go.

Multiple Settings for different types of spaces

This sprinkler is pretty good. It has multiple settings which is nice. So you can water a long narrow spot or a square spot. Would have rated higher, but seems as though the water flow is a bit less than with other sprinklers I have.

The design is backward!

The whole design is backward. I have a few of these pattern sprinklers. The pattern always sprays AWAY from where the hose connects to the sprinkler. With this sprinkler, the pattern sprays AT the hose end connection side of the sprinkler. So remember the hose connection point has to point at the target which is backward to any of these I own. Not sure why they designed it this way but I think it's stupid. The quality is good but the design is stupid.

Appears to be well built and sturdy but the unit is defective

A couple of the settings don't spray well. The square spray pattern is so uneven that I can't use it. I'm able to use other settings as a work-around and water my lawn but that's not optimum. Had I bought this at a local store, I'd have just taken it back for another. I never did hear from the seller to ask me about my experience or discuss replacing it.
