Protect those baby trees!

I have a tip for these. I spray-painted the tops with fluorescent orange paint, to make them easier to see in the lush grass when mowing or weed eating. I also used a small dowel pushed into the ground, and a zip tie fastened to the plastic to hold them upright better. I paid for my baby trees and don't want someone to accidentally mow them down!

Good but take some effort

These are good tree protectors but not simple install ( in my case). They are super curved so if you lock in the prongs any smaller than the outer most row, the overlap of plastic and locking prongs could poke into the tree. I ended up putting the locking prongs on the inside instead of outside to help minimize the overlap jabbing the trees. I’m trying to protect young trees from weed trimmer string so the above comments pertain to that. The tips are also curved in at the bottom and pretty much buckle as you try to push them into the ground. So if you’re working with anything other than lush soft soil, you’re going to have a battle on your hands. I ended up using some tent stakes that I had on hand to secure them to the ground. If you’ve got the time and patience they are a cost effective alternative to using construction wire fencing / chicken wire.

Good value

I purchased these for my dogwood tree in front of my house. I noticed the deer were chewing the bark off from the ground to about halfway up the trunk. These tree wraps fit perfectly and I like how they don’t have to be snapped closed so they can open with the tree growth.

Pefect protection for pvc piping and wires outdoors.

we bought these to re-wrap wires that were originally threaded through pvc pipe to protect them on the outside of our house. Seems the landscapers weed eaters are very hard on the pvc especially after being exposed to the Texas heat and sun every day. Eventually they cracked and broke and rather than disconnecting everything and re threading new pvc we just wrapped these around the wires to protect them. Works perfect and I have plenty to replace them as needed.

saves trees

these keep weedeater line from cutting the bark on new trees. the tree will die if the bark is removed around the tree. I have killed one that way.

Now I have tree trunk protectors that have color that blends into the wood trunks

I previously had purchased tree trunk protectors that were white spirals from another vendor. Our young sapling trees and bushes need protection from weed whacking and from our resident deer population rubbing their antlers against the tree trunks. The white always looked unsightly and became a focal point in our front yard, so I ordered a box of these darker ones, and stacked 3 protectors on each sapling...up to the start of the limbs. I moved the old white ones to the back yard trees. These darker ones are much sturdier than the thin white spirals...probably sturdier than I actually need. They are still easy to wrap around the trees, but stiffer than the thinner ones. I only wish these darker colored ones were as long in length as the spiral white ones.

Protects tree trunks and can be expanded

Like that the color mostly blends in with tree, especially like that they size can be expanded to fit various size trees by adding another piece. They are a little difficult to take apart but I managed to get them unhooked to add a piece after tree grew.
