Better than the last Genuine Fred puzzle

This is another beautiful illustration by Helen Dardik that is perfect for a jigsaw puzzle. It’s much more detailed than it shows on the cover, so it’s challenging and enjoyable. BUT, again the issues are with the manufacturing. Pieces are warped and bent, so pieces don’t lay flat unless you gently bend them. This is a 1000 piece puzzle, so the pieces were not as badly warped as the 500 piece Genuine Fred puzzle, but it’s still frustrating. If you can get past the production issues, this puzzle is one that will keep you busy for a few days.

Great puzzle!

I enjoyed this puzzle very much. The quality was nice, pieces fit together nicely, very little dust, and I really didn't have to even glue it to add it to my puzzle book.

Great quality

The pieces work together really well easily, no being unsure if a piece is meant to go there or not. The pieces are thick and sturdy. It's not overly complicated to do where you end up spending an hour working on it and getting nowhere, and it's not too easy. The colors are glorious. Of course I managed to drop and probably vacuum up one piece so it's sitting there on the table with a little hole in it! I'll definitely buy other puzzles by this company.

Too many bent and creased pieces

This is my first time buying a puzzle from Fred (brand) and I was pretty disappointed, unfortunately. Although the image of the puzzle is very vibrant and true to the selling image, a lot of the pieces were bent. Some of the image was even wrinkled and pulling up from the backing. I did like the smaller version as a picture to use for reference when putting the puzzle together and that the image is also on the front of the box and back. That way multiple people can have a good look at it.

998 pieces

Well, when I got done with this one there were two pieces missing. I’m pretty uptight/fastidious about my puzzle assembly and don’t believe I lost them (checked everywhere including vacuum catch and dog stools). The pieces came in a sealed bag so I don’t exactly know where to square the blame for the missing pieces. That said, it is a beautiful puzzle. Tranquil colors. I’ve done ten 1000 pieces (less two pieces) during the damn pandemic. I would say this a high quality puzzle - cut, fit, etc - maybe just below highest quality. It is slightly above average difficulty. I enjoyed the 998 pieces I have, hoping the Great Puzzle Fairy will make the other pieces appear.

Amazing artwork, bent & separating puzzle pieces.

Personally, I love this puzzle. The artwork is stunning, and the image quality is amazing. I was disappointed, however, that several of the pieces arrived dented, bent, crunched up, and with the image separating from the piece. It didn't make the puzzle un-doable, but was definitely a let down. Especially as 1 of the 2 I purchased is a gift, and the other I intend to frame. Hopefully the one I gifted was better ???? And for those of you who like to speed through puzzles, be aware that the cut repeats. It's not as difficult in the Catsquatch itself, but in the background areas it can become a little confusing, with pieces only being distinguished by a slight shade change.
