Perfect chairs for our home office.
These have been perfect for our home office so far. We sit in them for hours at a time, they have great adjustability and are very comfortable. The back lumbar support works great. The only thing that is a little annoying so far is we keep tripping on the wheels for some reason. The chair is a bit smaller than our old ones and we just need to get used to it, but other than that, they are great. Super easy to put together. It came in 3 parts, anyone could do it. 5 stars for sure.

Great chair
I really like this chair and it was definitely worth the price. I've been using it for months now and the cushioning is still holding up well. I did replace the casters with the roller blade type and now it's perfect.

Worth the price
I can’t believe how much better my back and neck are. I was Leary of spending the money when I see other prices but the description addressed every complaint I had with other chairs and it’s proven to be worth every single cent!!!! Not even a little disappointed. It’s a great chair for hours or desk work!!!

Probably the easiest desk chair that I've ever assembled.
There is beauty in the simplicity of this chair. Sure, you don't have a million dials and switches on the base for fine tuning, but it hits all the basics and while I initially was taken back by the fact that it only has 3 settings for the backrest support (rigid, firm and soft), I have found that's all that I really need. I should note that mine arrived with more of the assembly done than the Steelcase videos even indicated. For instance, the armrests were already installed and I didn't have to attach the back to the base. Made me wonder if mine was a return, demo or something like that but it appears to be in like new condition. Anyway, I had it all together and adjusted to my liking in all of 5 min. which is great! I feel like this chair corrects a lot of my bad habits w/out being a nag about it. I find myself sitting with improved posture and with proper support at the three key touch points- Arms, back, butt. I would say that if there is a weak link among those three, it'd maybe be at the arms as they sort of vaguely move around laterally sometimes and I find myself sort of resetting them every so often to where I think they should be for me. They also are fairly thin and lightweight so I have some concern about durability but only time will tell there. Steelcase claims the chair can support up to 400lbs, which to me, indicates that it should hold up under the kind heavy daily use that I bought it for as an intensive home office user. Some complaints in reviews I read ahead of purchase were related to the seat cushion being too hard. I would tend to disagree there as I think it strikes a perfect balance of comfort/supportiveness. As with a bed mattress, softer isn't always better in my experience. As for the rest, it feels like an upscale economy chair rather than anything more luxurious with lots of plastic but it's all well-done. I guess for the price paid, that's fair and my wife indicated that she prefers this to any other desk chair that I've brought home thus far. I'd say that's high praise. I think that unless you are willing to go closer to a grand or more, this is a great option- Particularly if you are under 6' tall. If you are larger, you will likely want to add the optional headrest for additional support as the chair back covers me at 5'10" just barely. Otherwise, maybe steer clear of this one, but for the average size adult, it really shines.

Great chair but........
My office has this chair--or at least something similar so I wanted to step up my home office. Chair is great, easy to assemble--though I needed a Youtube video for the last step up sliding the cushion on Only problem.....I don't think this chair is new. Box suspiciously poorly packaged. Greasy spot at bottom of gas tank. And a couple light stains on the front of the cushion. Buy this chair......but maybe buy directly from Steelcase instead of Amazon. You would hope you would get a new product when you pay $470.

Disappointment : UPDATE
03-25-23: Just received this. Lot's of money for a lightly padded small seat, no headrest or the ability to add one at a reasonable price. I am considering returning this and buying another Serta brand chair. I will try this for a week and see. I use an office chair for about 8 hours a day, so it needs to be good. The quality of this product is very good, just lacking in some important areas. 4-08-2023 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * CONS: seat too narrow by at least 2", arm rests not long enough nor wide enough and too hard, no head rest easily available at a decent price, does not go low enough, the control for height adjustment very difficult to reach. PROS: lumber support works ok, tension control for tilting back is good, wheels allow easy mobility, overall construction is good OVERALL: I am too lazy to return this. So, I bought a cushion to help with the seat, special armrests padding, and have finally found and ordered a headrest for the chair (very expensive). This will be the last product I buy from this company.

Decent, with several strange flaws.
The overall chair itself is decently comfortable and ergonomic, but the arm rests are the worst I've ever had on a chair and your elbows will become sore if you do not buy memory foam covers for the arm rests. Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. Buy some if you plan on spending 5+ hours a day in this chair. With armrest covers it goes from 3 to 4 stars. There is a mechanism that allows you to unlock the back, apply force, and it will lean back, but you can't lock it. I don't understand this design choice at all. It essentially makes it so you really just have to have the back locked. I THINK this has warranty support (and it should) of 12-years. I hope so, because no pump on a chair would ever last me 12-years of daily use. Once it fails, I will try and get a replacement and see how the process is. The actual seat is pretty firm so if you're looking for extreme comfort, you won't get that here. It also will collect any and all odors. Pets, farts, any spill, etc. So, fabric refresher on the seat every so often goes a long way. These typically hold nice resale value, so that's good and so far, the overall quality outside of the terrible armrests is quite good.

Very Comfortable. Durable. Competitively priced.
I got the version of this chair (purple) that was much cheaper than other colors and it looks great and is extremely comfortable. My back pain is almost all gone after using this chair for only a couple of weeks. I’m actually buying another one I like it so much. I’m a bigger guy and I feel like I have a decent amount of room even though the chair is fairly compact. Arm rests pop out nicely and are very adjustable and are made from durable but soft material. Do yourself a favor and get this chair.

Good chair, a bit pricey?
Good chair, had it for two months, super easy assembly, a $700 chair in Canada. On the other hand, this chair won several "best of category" awards by major media so it's a good chair and quite comfortable. I am a little worried about how it will hold up, as it seems less sturdy than the Alera Elusion chair (another award winner, $450 in Canada) that I also bought two months ago.

Comfortable, supportive, and PURPLE.
I did a lot of research before investing in this chair. SteelSeries consistently showed at the top of every office chair list. I was very hesitant to drop so much down on just a chair; if it hadn't been for the top-of-the-line reviews, I never would have considered it. I have a number of disorders that leave me in constant chronic pain. Accepting my current work-from-home position at my job made me very nervous about pain management throughout an 8-hour workday. It has been about 6 months now and I am absolutely thrilled that I took the plunge. This is the first chair in my entire life that does not pile on to the pain that I'm already in. And it's purple!!
