Great pattern, weird sizing

First off, the pattern on this shirt is very cool. From a distance, it looks like the shirt is out of focus. I love that! Kudos to the pattern department! However, I find the sizing on Robert Graham shirts to be rather odd. I am a very standard size medium, and have been for the past 30 years. So when I buy a shirt that is sized as medium and it doesn't fit, it's the shirt's problem, not mine! That having been said, the sizing of a Robert Graham medium is such that the body fits all right, but the neck is made for someone much thicker than a medium. I tried ordering a small; that made the neck only slightly too big, but then the shoulders were too tight. I am able to get around the problem by pre-washing the medium shirt, and then tossing it into the dryer for 10 minutes to shrink it. That gets the neck size just about right. Right enough, anyway. One other thing about this particular shirt that is a flaw: the buttons are sewn on using a vivid orange thread. Except for one button (second from the top) that was sewn on with black thread. Someone goofed. Anyway, I do like the patterns on a lot of Robert Graham shirts, and I'll be buying some more. In medium. With a pre-wash to get the sizing right.
