I prefer the brown one from seventh generation but it seems that one is getting harder and harder to find in stock. This is my second choice and also works well for my needs. It is rough enough that it picks up what it needs to (although I usually buy a second roll of Cottonelle for my guests who prefer something soft - I've had complaints about it being too scratchy for the average person). It doesn't hold together as well or absorb liquid as well as some toilet papers, but it is chlorine bleach free and that's what I care about.

It’s ok, shreds easily
This 2 ply recycled tp is pretty good but it does shred easily which means it’s too linty for me. I really want to support recycled tp! Will try marcal next. Bamboo tp I’ve tried so far is just ok for the same reason. Linty and a bit rougher. The seller is good. I received the wrong count and they corrected the price accordingly. Good communication.

Good for the Environment; Good for my Budget; Comfortable to Use
Okay--this isn't the very softest toilet paper out there, but it definitely isn't the harshest either. A major brand talks in their ad about "pieces left behind", and I've actually experienced that situation more with softer, premium, virgin-paper brands. This paper is made with recycled fiber, so it isn't a brilliant white color (bleached-white toilet tissue isn't good for the environment or for your body). As an example--I also use TP as facial tissue during the cold/flu season--this is soft enough on a sensitive nose but doesn't fall apart when you are blowing (anybody else realize how difficult it is to write politely about certain body functions? LOL) I love the Subscribe and Save option so I never run out and don't have to haul toilet paper (a lightweight but bulky item) home on the bus. The pricing per sheet is certainly comparable to store offerings. So, what's not to like? It's easy on the budget, easy on the environment, and easy on the body parts...that's worth 5 stars in my book!

Buyer Beware!
Let me start by saying I really like Seventh Generation toilet tissue for several reasons. 1. it's 100% recycled 2. No Chlorine Bleaching ! 3. Unscented Here's my dissatisfaction . I was signed up to receive automatic shipments of this product. When the last shipment arrived I was dumbfounded how the box was much smaller. Here's what happened: They have dramatically reduced the size of the rolls (by 40 percent!) WITHOUT notice or a change of price !! Old size = 500 sheets, 4.5"x3.75" = 58 square feet per roll. New size = 300 sheets, 4"x4" = 33 square feet per roll. 40% LESS !! I would rather pay more than to have to change rolls basically twice as often. I'm paying more anyway, as there's less product for the same price. I feel this company has been deceptive in it's practices and that leaves me with suspicion about it's product and practices. I will be shopping for a different solution in the future.

good, greener alternative
This toilet paper is fine. Unless you want a super soft, padded toilet paper like Charmin, which this is not. But I don't like the super soft kind. I do prefer the older generation of this product which would arrive in single paper rolls, wrapped in paper. This newer generation version comes in packs of four that are bundled in plastic - that's not very green.

excellent bathroom tissue for use with septic tank system
We buy this product because it does not contain nylon – nylon does not decompose in our septic tank so this is a good choice for use in a rural area not connected to city sewer system. Otherwise, we'd have to pay to have our septic tank pumped out regularly. Even if you don't use a septic tank, it is environmentally cleaner and responsible to use such a product as this nylon-free paper product. We've use this product for years and have no problems with it.

Everyone should use this product - we'd save a lot of trees and prevent some nasty allergic reactions on our bottoms.
They have made the roll shorter to keep the price competitive - not really a problem, just thought it was funny. I have used their products for over 20 years. It seems the mainstream companies are adding more and more chemicals to their tissues, which I am allergic to. They smell like fabric softener now. Yuck. If I had to be out and about in the world a lot, I think I'd carry this with me.
