going strong after 3 years

no staining, clip still works great . I have it on penant holding a tender for a commercial fishing boat. This hook is in the salt water year round for 3 years and is holding up great after the abuse it takes. I never work about the tender in in 70 mph winds!

Heavy duty

Bought to go with some heavy duty rope so i can latch onto logs and pull up a small hill. Yeah, these are heavy duty enough to do the job! Sure going to beat doing up knots and trying to untie them each time!

Not sure if this is the real deal!

The ad claims that this is, "Investment Cast" 316 Stainless steel! It also claims that it has a break strength of 7,000 lbs. Which would give it a Working Load Limit of around 3,500 lbs. I don't even know if stainless steel can be "cast", it also seems on the small side, for something with a Break Strength of 7,000 lbs. & 3,500 lbs. WLL. But, maybe the 316 alloy gives it the required strength to meet these specifications?? and just maybe it can be investment cast. we will see. If this thing passes the test, meets my expectations, I will give it 5 stars for sure, But I'm doubtful!
