not bad but not the best

Ok, so it looks like your standard red eyed bucktail jig. In most ways, it is. Hook quality is good, no rough edges noted, bucktail does a fair job at covering the hook and not come undone. My only beef with it is that the loop is painted shut on some of them making it impossible to slip over a swivel. It will take a sharp point and a minute or two to ream out the hole. A couple of mine still wouldn't fit over the swivel. Had the loop been a little larger, there would have been no problem. Aside from that, these are a no-nonsense version of the classic. Just make sure you either have a very small swivel and bring something to ream the paint out with. Happy fishing!

Great quality, value

Used for surfcasting in Montauk and along Long Island's south shore, these ducktails are made of quality materials and hold up well to stripers and blue fish. Add a strip of red pork rind, and you'll be landing stripers in the suds all day. Hooks are good quality, paint holds up well enough in surf. Highly recommended.

Great bucktail jig at a great price.

These are perfect for use with scented swimbaits/lures like Berkely Gulp or even live bait. The hair adds an extremely enticing movement to the lure that gets fish every-time. These are very durable and dry out quickly so you can store them in your tackle box fast.

good hook and hair. the eye is a bit thick to get a small fast clip on but if you tie direct, this bucktail swims well and CATCHES !
