Very durable, insulated shaker, that looks and works incredible!
Making cocktails for some time now, my trusty shaker has started to show its age and signs of use, so I decided to look for an upgrade. Looking at many shakers, they all seemed to share a similar design, and nothing really jumped out at me. Then I came across the Snowfox Double Wall shaker. Being familiar with double walled bottles in my Hydroflask coffee mug, I was both surprised and intrigued by this technology being implemented in a shaker. Looking at the colors and design, I found one that really caught my eye, and decided to place an order. Unboxing my Snowfox shaker, I was very impressed with the quality and finish of it. I chose the gold color of shaker, and everything short of the stainless cap was finished in a beautiful hue. The instructions stated to hand wash only, not dish wash, to extend the life of the finish, however; much like my other shaker, knives, and other kitchen tools, handwashing/drying is pretty standard. One thing that I was not expecting was the airtightness of the shaker. While most shakers have lid and cap that can be placed on at once, the Snowfox creates such an amazing seal due to the silicone gasket (more on that below), that it’s necessary to put the lid on first, then the cap. Although it’s a very small detail, and a minor adjustment, this seemed worth mentioning as it is slightly different than any other shaker I have used. This silicone gasket on the top of the body of the shaker is a little bit of an adjustment, as it makes it a little more difficult to get the lid off and on to the shaker. What you get as a result however, is a legitimately airtight shaker, that I was able to hold upside down with one hand, without any concern of the lid slipping, leaking or coming apart. Doing smaller batches of cocktails, this isn’t a problem whatsoever, and I actually prefer the security that the extra seal provides. In a commercial setting though, one might want to get a little comfortable with the shaker before using it as their go-to during a busy happy hour or weekend rush. One of my favorite features of this shaker is what had drawn me to it initially - the double walled construction. For those unfamiliar with double walled bottles (and shakers), there are two layers of metal, separated by a sealed space. This does a couple things functionally. First, this construction insulates the interior contents, keeping hot things hot, and cold things cold. Mixing up cocktails on a hot summer day, or in warmer conditions, this keeps the cocktail colder while slowing (but not stopping), the melting process. Another feature of the double walled construction that I like is that the insulation prevents the outside of the shaker from “sweating”, frosting over on the outside, or even feeling noticeably colder as the cocktail is shaken. This was really a nice comfort factor, not having to worry about cold hands. Overall, I am absolutely in love with this shaker! The only thing that I was not expecting was the very tight seal caused by the silicone gasket around the body, which was certainly an adjustment at first. The benefits to this though, as said before, do make this well worthwhile. I am very impressed with the Snowfox shaker, and for $39.99 for this version, it has incredible value for the price.

Great shaker keeps drinks ICE cold!
As soon as you pick up the shaker you know it is of high quality. It is very light weight, but the material is extremely solid and has a premium feeling and look to it. I purchased the stainless steel version to match my other bar equipment, and it is very nice looking. First of all this shaker keeps things ICE cold for a long, long time. I have used insulated tumblers in the past but this is the first insulated shaker I have owned. The outside of the shaker doesn't change temperature like a normal stainless steel shaker. You can comfortably hold the shaker without it freezing your hand. The only part that appears to not be insulated is the top and cap. The insulation in the main part of the shaker keeps all the drinks I make cold for up to several hours. I suspect it would work for even longer, but that's about the maximum before the shaker is empty and it's time to make another drink! I really, really wish they sold a larger version of the shaker (twice the size maybe?). The three piece construction of the shaker holds well together when shaking/mixing, and I like the fact it has a built in strainer in the top (just remove the cap and pour). The rubber gasket produces a very tight seal. I have not noticed any leaks while shaking and I also haven't felt as though I have to hold it "together" more than normal. I do want to echo some reviews stating the rubber gasket "slips" or has a tendency to by pulled slightly off the bottom when removing the top. However, it doesn't appear to happen every time I remove the top and usually occurs after it has been sealed for awhile. Each time I have noticed it I have been able to pull the gasket back down into its normal position with no problem. I also want to note that the stainless steel version is the only one advertised as dishwasher safe. Typically I hand wash my bar equipment but the few times I have placed it in a dishwasher it has come out with no problem. In conclusion I highly recommend this shaker and feel it is well worth the price. I only wish they also sold a larger version so I could make larger batches at a time.

Rubber seal a bit tricky but great shaker
I was looking for a cocktail shaker, read a bunch of reviews and landed on this one. Pretty presentation in a nice box, arrived super quick and is a very good looking kitchen/bar tool. Had a difficult time trying to get the lid back on after filling with ice and margarita ingredients. Felt like I had to push hard to get the lid (not the cap) to stay on, almost as if the seal was pushing the lid back off. Just used some muscles and went to work on making my drink. The actual shaking worked great, and to back-up other reviews, no issue with cold hands. When it came time to clean the shaker (hand wash only) I wash all parts including the seal which is not attached. Then when putting it back together...now I'm confused. Can't tell which way the seal is supposed to go back on...do I have it right side up or is it upside down?? Is the seal even supposed to come off? So I contact Snowfox. They are super responsive and helpful. Seal is NOT supposed to be attached. Makes sense for cleaning purposes. The proper installation of the seal is with the two small ridges facing up (toward the lid, not the base). I suggested instructions for those like me without an engineering degree. So, for others wondering, proper use is seal with ridges up, twist on the lid rather than pushing and then put on the cap. Same for when it comes time to disassemble your shaker. Once you get past these things, it s a great shaker, does the job, looks good, keeps your hands toasty but your drink cold and doesn't leak. Great customer service as well.

The seal around the top is loose and will soon come off. Then it will leak if not sooner. It moves when placing or removing the cap.

Better than advertised! The double insulated walls are amazing for keeping your hands from freezing after shaking a few drinks. The built in strainer is genius. Quality material, no drip and strong suction. This bad boy is worth every penny.

Good but not great
This is a good shaker and the double walled bottom (yes only the bottom part is double walled) makes it easier to shake for longer. The top section feels cheap and thin. There is a rubber seal that helps the two piece seal and without it the unit is useless, the seal is always coming off too and I can’t see it lasting more than 12 months. There’s definitely better options out there but this was priced right for what it is.

Good looking shaker and no leaks. Hand still gets cold though from the top.
I mean "keep your hands from freezing" is a bit of a stretch seeing as the top isnt double walled...... But In any case, the cap seals well, the top seals well, the bottom insulation does work as youd expect, it looks good, so no real complaints there. I wish it was 750ML.... but it is what it is. Theres no real fault other than the top really should be double walled if you ask me, but hey.

Yeah, it's really good
For the price, this is a great little shaker. I love the double-wall, certainly doesn't freeze up all over. Of course, the single wall top and cap get cold but it's easier than the other single walled kind. The capacity is great to make one or two cocktails at a time. Easy to clean and store.

Leak-proof!
I was looking for a shaker that didn't leak and this is it! Only criticisms are that it is slightly pricey in AUD and that the gold isn't dishwasher safe
