0.9GPM?? Not really...
Our system is usually fitted with a Culligan element claiming 1GPM, so it seemed that a filter element claiming 0.9GPM would function pretty well. No. It was a disaster of restricted flow. Drilled it out - twice - in hopes of allowing reasonable flow, but the filtration material prevented adequate volume. Certainly it filters well but the flow claim simply cannot be accurate.

Looked at so many water filters online and in the stores. The water here in Florida is just awful and not drinkable because of the smell and taste of chlorine. We even had the dreaded Rainsoft reps come to our house and waste 3 hours of our time, wanting $10,000 for their product!!! Can you believe that? Read the reviews on this one and most were positive and I thought, if it doesn't work, then I haven't lost very much. Needed 2 trips to the hardware store, as we have a new house and the under the sink fittings are not compatible with the fixings on this. I had previously taken the fittings off the toilet cisterns to the water inlet, as I fitted some bidet sprays and I was happy to see that those fittings were adaptable to this filter system. So just needed to get some connectors to go with it. Some people complain about the push fittings but if you make sure they are pressed firmly to the end, then they work just fine. I used push fittings on my heating system in England and never had a problem there, so knew these would be ok for this. Followed the instructions and ran the water for a little while, to flush all the debris. I was still not convinced, so checked to see if the smell of chlorine was there. I was just amazed...there was no smell of anything. So tried the taste test and....just incredible! The water was smooth and just great. I am so amazed that something of this price performs so great. We are using just filter that came in the box, so it's not the best but you could have fooled me! Thoroughly recommend this product and I am so pleased I chose this one.

A necessity with the city water
Have very bad city water, think water directly from public pool may have less chemicals/chlorine in it, these filters fix that problem the water after going through this filter no longer smells or tastes like chlorine.

Good filtering is too important to use knockoff filters. Excellent for under-sink filtraation
We have used Culligan filters for years. The recently revised model D-30A has improved filtration but pressure is reduced significantly, similar to the old D-40 filter pressure reduction. Today we see many refrigerator water filters of poor quality, listed on Amazon and elsewhere. The knockoff filters usually do not really filter and have an open bypass route for water. Learned that having opened several. Good filtering is too important to use knockoff filters.

Works well
Works well but water filtration is much slower then the d-20! My water without filtering is 180ppm and with filter it is 150 ppm
