best sunsleeves I own

I keep these in the car for driving and love them because they stay put (I have another pair that tend to roll down from the top of the arm). They cover part of my hand and have the thumbhole for extra coverage. Great for driving, not sure about gardening but that's more a personal preference. I;m not an animal print person but now that I have these they do give me a chuckle when I put them on in the car, I care more about protecting my skin over what the print is. I would buy them again over any of my other brands and pairs

These are the ones to get!

A family member has a form of Lupus that makes them photosensitive to UV light (Sun light). They were encouraged by a dermatologist to constantly apply sunscreen to skin areas, specifically the arms (if wearing a hat). Not wanting to have chemicals on the skin all the time, we resorted to looking for arm coverings. Even though they cost 2-3x as much as other sleeves, they are far superior! We have ordered 2 sizes, large and medium. Both are nice to have. The medium fits perfectly like a compression stocking, and is good for active use. The Large fits well too, but of course more roomy – for a relaxed fit. Since wearing these, the family member went back to the dermatologist for a check up and they asked what she was doing because the Lupus seemed under control, much better than other clients this time of year (summer). She mentioned these and they said keep wearing them, they are doing better than the sunscreen and she's avoiding the chemicals. Pros: - Quality! They hold up to washing well (mostly wash in sink with light detergent). - UV protection is a huge plus! - Appearance when wearing looks sporty, not "goofy." - Does not feel hot to wear! Feels cool, even in direct sun light. Cons: -Can't think of one yet. Will revise review if needed.

Comfortable and effective

I had to return this pair bc they were way too long. They went all the way to my shoulder. I will buy those brand again. They're a bit more expensive than other brands. They seem worth it to me for a quality pair that will last.

Great Sun Protection

I'm giving this 5 stars because these are great sun protection. I have lupus, and my skin is extremely sensitive to the sun. I can literally feel my skin burning and will get rashes with what most would consider the smallest amount of sun exposure. Heck, certain indoor lighting can cause me to have a reaction. Anyway, I've worn these out quite a few times now and love them. I've had no discomfort from the sun's rays and no rashes on my hands or arms. I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs, so I ordered the medium. The mediums are about 22.5" long, closer to 6.5" at the wrist and 9.5" around the bicep area. The material is very stretchy, though. My wrists are 6.25" around, and I find the medium to be a tad baggie at the wrist. The mediums fit me, but I will likely order the small next time because I would like the fit to be a bit more snug. I wear these with t-shirts and find the medium to stay on quite well and expect that the small will stay up even better. The material is light enough that as long as you are moving or there is a slight breeze, you'll stay cool enough. I could see them maybe getting a little warm if you were just sitting in 90+ degree heat with no air movement, though. For me, this is an awesome product. Sadly enough, I'm hoping this company comes out with a similar product for your legs. I know, I'd totally look like a dork. BUT, it'd be great for anyone with serious sun sensitivities.

As I have aged, my arms have become very sensitive to the sun. I swear, the sun simply wasn't this hot when I was a kid! While looking for sun sleeves, I finally made my decision after seeing the sizing options of these Eclipse Sun Sleeves. I am a larger woman, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds. These offered a sizing range that I felt comfortable with, whereas other brands often had no size stated, except for length. I ordered the Large according to my weight and they fit wonderfully, are NOT COMPRESSION SLEEVES which I didn't want to try to wrangle up my arms, yet stay where you put them. In fact, while they are amply snug enough to stay put, they are so stretchy that I can easily pull the fabric away from my skin by a couple of inches while wearing them. I was worried about not having a "banded" top or bottom to the sleeve, yet I don't think that I would now order that type, having experienced the "can't tell it's there" comfort of this brand. It's very simple to slip your hands out when you want to, and I easily wear them while puttering in the garden. While you are told they are machine washable and dryable, I have simply washed them by hand in the sink, a one minute job, and hung them to dry, which takes so little time. So far, nothing has managed to stain them. Highly recommend!
